Topic: AMD 870 chipset on Gigabyte GA-870-UD3 blue screens during install
with a 0x00000007b error for Windows XP SP3 using driverpacks 1006 mass storage (google tells me this a storage error, controller not found )
running a linux rescue disk, I see these HWID's on the hardware

The specific jmicron HWIDS 197b:2363 are absent from the ini file as well as the ATI smbus HWID's 1002:4385.
not sure if a new driver required or if the old ones just don't have the HWID's included.
I have the bios configured for native ide rather than raid or AHCI.
Any thoughts? I'd hate to have to move to Windows 7. yuch.
