Topic: Strange behaviour during drivers installation

Hi, I'm experiencing a strange behaviour during manual drivers installation, no matter the type of hardware, it's always the same.

When I give the path to the right driver and click on next it takes 5-10 minutes to look at the driver and after it finish installing it.

Also trying to cancel or use the back button take 1-2 minutes to respond.

For the rest the PC is stable.

If I use exe file to install drivers ( when I have it ) it does a quick and clean installation.

I think there is something "broken" in the manual Windows installation, expecially on the part that recognize that the driver as been found or not in the location I point to.

Can someone help me on solving this issue? I'm working with Acronis images on 10 -20 PCs so I can't just reinstall windows... I need to solve the problem after "imaging" the PC.

Thank you in advance.

Re: Strange behaviour during drivers installation

Did you modify your "driver.cab" in any way (nlite/etc.)?
Does this problem manifest itself after using DriverPacks or without?  This is a DriverPacks support forum you know. wink
