Topic: QUESTION: Is there a virus in DPs_BASE_6061.exe

I am quite new to all this but I have been using the driverpacks with RougeSpears AutoImage for RIS images.  All has been going very well until tonight I downloaded DPs_BASE_6061.exe from this site and when I run it my anti virus reports that DPs_base.exe and KTDdynmc.exe are infected with a trojan horse Generic.XVJ. I am using AVG Home and it is up to date.  Is there a problem or is it the antivirus because I have not had any problems on the system I use at work.

I'll reply to myself. Search the Forum!!!!!  heheh  Yep I see that others have had the same problem with AVG. Look like I need a new free Anti-virus

NO!... I got the same issue with AVG Free

Don't worry, the file in question will not be in the next version, so you don't have to get yourself a new AV just because of the DriverPacks wink

But AVG does detect all .exe's in the DriverPacks BASE as malware... LOL

I've contacted AVG about it...
