What I am thinking is that to extract DP files directly from cd/dvd to HDD without copying all Drive packs to HDD. It will save about 5-10 min.
Also I am testing PC with USB-devices. It seems not work. I don't know what the problem ( the DP souce or not)
The test OS is Trad, Chinese XP. There is no problem at all.

But app already extracting DP to HDD directly. Or may be I'm not clearly understand you.
Regarding USB:
1 copy application to flash drive
2 then copy all driver packs into DP folder
3 delete dp_wsed.ini file
4 run application (dp_wsed.ini) will automatically created with needed options

Lang pack now is OK by ANSI code.
I suppose you code by unicode or UTF-8 so there are problems....
Something wrong with Chinese lang !!! Incomptible ???

Remove selection and it can't work as English lang(switching between 'select all' and 'Remove selection'

Just something to think about Warm Snow devcon.exe cannot legally be distributed by any third party. However, dpinst.exe can.

Regarding DevCone distributing - now I've read English version of that article & saw that you are right - DevCon is not redistributable. Another strange thing is that Russian translation says that - DevCon can be distributed without any restrictions 
Think I need to contact to the Microsoft support.

its just a missed translation... it should say that it is Not redistributable...
But i don't think they going to bother you about that particular file...
That's true, they probably don't care. But I don't want you to get sued or anything.
I've wrote an email to the support, and they forwarded me to to Russian division. Now I'm trying to find right email to resend my question
