Topic: Slipstreaming Sata and Raid drivers only.

Ok my first post here, so be gentle please smile

I slipstreamed the MassStorage driver pack to TxtSetupMode only and left the regular MassStorage together with all the other kinds of drivers unchecked.

At the end of the process it still created the $OEM$ folder and added the OemPnPDriversPath line to winnt.sif.
I decided to delete the $OEM$ folder and the OemPnPDriversPath line from winnt.sif.

I tested and it loaded very well the Sata and Raid drivers on the TxtSetupMode phase, later it rebooted and all seemed to work fine.

So my question is:
Is it completely safe to do what I did (delete the $OEM$ folder and the OemPnPDriversPath line from winnt.sif) if I only want to make XP compatible with Sata or Raid devices, to be able to install it on them?

It worked fine on my PC with Sata, will it also work well on other PCs with Sata or Raid for which the drivers are slipstreamed and loaded at the txtSetupMode?

Thanks in advance...
