Topic: NOT_IMPLEMENTED in VMWare after slipstreaming

I got NOT_IMPLEMENTED error in VMWare 6 after slipstreamed DriverPacks:
  Chipset 7.06
  CPU 7.04.1
  MassStorage 7.07.1
  MassStorage Textmode
at the "Setup is inspecting your computer's hardware configuration..."

NOT_IMPLEMENTED C:/ob/bora-45731/bora/devices/chipset/piix4SM.c:353

My XP source is XP Pro SP2 (after slipstreaming all updates via HFSLIP).

Re: NOT_IMPLEMENTED in VMWare after slipstreaming

And another one (now without Chipset and CPU):

*** VMware Workstation internal monitor error ***
vcpu-0:This virtual machine has tried to execute an invalid part of memory. It is possible that the virtual disk or CD media you are using is not bootable or that a program or driver running in the virtual machine has malfunctioned.

Re: NOT_IMPLEMENTED in VMWare after slipstreaming

Hi,
there were requests to update the VMWARE drivers, and mass storage 7.07.1 did that
There was also an update in 3rd party drivers for VMware

I'd like to find out if the 3rd party was used.
If not, I'd like to know what happens after you added that.

if this still fails, I would suggest you try mass storage with the older VMSCSI driver you could get from an earlier pack.

It is possible a moderator moves this to 3rd party forum, because this does not really belong here.

The answer was 42?
Kind regards, Jaak.

Re: NOT_IMPLEMENTED in VMWare after slipstreaming

There are no any 3rd party drivers used.
Only what I wrote in the 1st post.
Even if only MassStorage 7.07.1 was used (with textmode) I'm getting "vcpu-0:This virtual machine has tried to execute an invalid part of memory..."
