Topic: [CLOSED] Silicon Image 3112 BSOD after file copy

i must be missing something. no matter what Silicon Image bios i put into my NF7-S bios, 4250,4279,4283. I get a BSOD after the file copy on the first reboot.   I'm using the most current Abit bios, and most current driverpack etc.

Anyone have a checklist of things i should check?

Checklist:
- verify that the CD isn't corrupt by doing a test install in VMWare/VirtualPC
- verify that your memory is ok by using memcheck
- verify that your HDD is ok (no bad sectors) by using a tool provided by the manufacturer of your HDD(s).

I am new to the forum but I have been using the Driverpacks for sometime now
I too was seeing that awful BSOD screen. The way I fixed it was to edit the txtsetup.sif file.
Remove all lines refering to SI3112, DO NOT DELETE ANY LINES CONTAINING SI3112r

After editing the txtsetup.sif file I have yet to encounter a BSOD.
I have used this on about 20 different systems.

Thanks go to Bâshrat the Sneaky and the Driverpacks team.
