anyways, i'm excited ..
I just got done with two different latops, d620 version 1 and d620 version 2 with Nvidia graphics. Going to move on to a desktop..

I used all the driver packs except the graphics, and CPU.
Created a third party, with the drivers that I collected

and nooo freakin errors..

Now just got to look at the different HAL issues..  for sysprep  2cpus machines vs 1cpu machines

A soon as I started putting one of these as the end of txtsetup.sif file.. everything starting coming together..
a EOF file character,

also started using Nero to make a bootable disc instead of Nlite, and now go nlite, ryan, driver packs..

oops..
Did you read this Thread?  GOSH!
http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic. … 9796#p9796

I came across this,   You probably didn't name the driver pack like the rest of the other driver packs.  I just droped my compress file in the 3rd party and thought the same thing..

example:  DP_Chipset_wnt5_x86-32_704.7z

name yours DP_3rdParty_wnt5_x86-32_704.7z

on reboot get a NMI parity error..

jesus..  H!!

but i'm positive thats a Nviida Quadro NVS 110m driver issue
becuase safe mode works fine...

in $OEM$ directory there was a cmdlines.exe.  I opened it up and nlite was calling something
I just deleted the entire directory.
I didn't know how to input a EOF charcter, serach and searched till I found a old .txt file that had a EOF character in it, copied that, put that at the end of txtsetup.sif

and it does not reboot over and over again..
wow, so far sooo good..     best news all day

still rebooting.. after driverpack 8

i'm going to start over, nlite, ryan, driver packs.. and re do the winnt.sif

sometimes a error will pop up for a quick second..

"A write operation was attemtped to a volume.. "

f*ck, the CD/DVD is now rebooting after it does 8/8 driver pack, and the says setup is restarting..   another perm loop.  What step am I missing..

I did ryanvm, nlite to slim it down.. driver pack, made ISO with nlite..  no last session..

thanks..  after reading some more post, threads, i just can't help but notice how many times   "driver packs LAST"  is repeated..

this stuff gets obsessive..  i need sleep, answers will come in sleep

Obviously i'm just not getting in..  i'm not sure what a EOF character is.  As I have imported the txtsetup.sif and not seeing any special characters

I have checked the txtsetup.sif for any spaces at the very end of the document

And the DVD still ends up in a reboot mode.

I have tried <CR><LF>  removed all the spaces, and remove the nlite spot..

I ryanboot pack, then driverpack, follow the instructions, and then nlite it..
some help would be cool

After doing some side by side comparison, and checking the physical machine.
Our Dell 450 Precisions use a PCI\VEN_1000&DEV_0030, which is not listed in the DriverPack TXTSetup.SIF

Downloaded Dirver From Dell
TXTSetupOEM.
symmpi = "DELL PERC5 RAID Controller Driver (Windows XP)"
symmpi = symmpi.sys,4
PCI\VEN_1000&DEV_0621 = "symmpi"
PCI\VEN_1000&DEV_0622 = "symmpi"
PCI\VEN_1000&DEV_0624 = "symmpi"
PCI\VEN_1000&DEV_0626 = "symmpi"
PCI\VEN_1000&DEV_0628 = "symmpi"
PCI\VEN_1000&DEV_0030 = "symmpi"

DriversPack
symmpi   = "LSI Logic PCI Fibre Channel Host Adapter"
symmpi =symmpi.sys,4
PCI\VEN_1000&DEV_0626="symmpi"
PCI\VEN_1000&DEV_0628="symmpi"
PCI\VEN_1000&DEV_0032="symmpi"

BAM!!!!  Missing a few

Those links are not helping.
Phase 1. I download driver pack,
Phase 2. Press Slipstream driver pack
Phase 3. Profit!

But windows is not seeing the LSI logic driver.  As in if I don't F6, install floppy.
IF I manualy slipstream the driver in, or use Nlite to slipstream the driver, xp sees the drive.

I have not modified the winnt.sif.  This is what it said by default
I have the LSI logic drivers from a Dell precision 450, and believe they are already included in the LAN driver package.
"LSI Logic Ultra320 1020/1030 Driver""

I ran through the default options in driver packs, with method2, KID on, and streaming.  I guess i'm confused as to why this is not automaticly added.

I'm probably missing a simple step, however

trying a test CD,

1.  Use Ryans updater to install the hot fixes
2.  Use the driverpack, only the LAN and MassStorage
3.  Use NLite ONLY to burn a bootCD

install cd on Precision 450 with LSI Logic SCSI card
and no bueno, F6

I can slip stream these using Nlite, but clearly i'm missing something, or is that a perfered way?
