compromised? Its not banned, so I think it has not been used for spamming?!

As I said before I tried to register, but I never received the mail.

btw this policy is quite strange - trying to register now, the software only tells me "This forum is not accepting new registrations." - So a regular user does not see, that this is for spam reasons and that he should ask an admin for an account. (I dont even know if (s)he has any possibility to ask an admin.

I' really like to know the background of this problem wink

using the orininal with your update seems to work, at least i can see the disk now. as you said its textmode only, I did not run setup yet....

well, after updating i cannot move the file, seems like its still mounted to the registry?!

mr_smartepants:

I spend about 4 hours now building, burning and testen the 18 disks. None of them was able to detect a drive (unknown disk - there is no disk in this drive) [hope this is the right translation]

PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0555&CC_0106
is not in txtsetup.sif,
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0555
is in it!

what does the update do? you want me to burn a new disk with the updated setupreg.hiv and then try to install on that laptop, right? Can try it next weekend.

I dont know, never used one of the previous disks on that specific laptop.
Sounds great to finally have a 7 compatible Version by the end of this year,as I slowly have to drop my favourite (XP) wink

thanks for you patience & help smile

So I wonder why DPBas lists CPU and Chipset still seperately?! - but well, DP_Base does not Support Vista/7. Any plans for a updated Version?

I wonder why there is a pack not meant for integration (1st afaik its not mentioned anywhere, 2nd in both cases it will be extracted from 7z and the sytem/setup will be pointed to that directory ?!) - and you said it will cause all other drivers to fail - I used the Disk on several Systems without a problem (including no undetected devices)?!

Hi,
in your link, it's said "HWID's (Hardware Identification numbers) are almost always helpful" - I didnt want to spam all the not relevant hwids.... so I posted the relevant HWID of the not detected SATA-Controller only. I'll post them all later.
@Overflow
As I mentioned before, the DriverPacks BASE folder (and the source folder) do not exist anymore. The root of my install disks has no .log-file at all, I would have posted it already if I could
Its not quite difficult to lose them all, as they're not included on the disc (at least not in root folder) and the system I used to create the cd was formatted using the cd afterwards...

As I mentioned before: I used all the non-3rd-party driver packs plus the ones I mentioned in their most current version. I think this should be the list of packs.

Chipset    11.09    download
CPU    10.05    download
Graphics A    11.07    download
Graphics B    11.07    download
Graphics C    11.07    download
Graphics Languages    11.07    download
Graphics PhysX    11.07    download
LAN    11.09    download
Mass Storage    11.09    download
Monitors    10.05    download
Runtimes for ATI    11.07    download
Sound A    11.08    download
Sound B    11.08    download
Webcam    11.07    download
WLAN    11.09    download

seems like you have a different definition of "default" then me. to me default are all packs, which are not 3rd party, so MassStorage is included. As I wrote before: "the Pack has been integrated properly, as I can use this DVD on other SATA-AHCI-Drives without any problems"

So heres the hwid now (sorry, I know it is saturday already, plans habe changed smile ):

PCI\\VEN_10DE&DEV_0555&SUBSYS_110B1734&REV_A2\3&2411E6FE&0&48

smile cdob, this time you dint read what I posted smile - The System I used to create the dvd was formatted with the disk afterwards.
and: I tried to register, but I never received the email. Trying to register with another email I was told, I can try to regiser only once a hour..... So I searched for a shared account.

Sure I can, mr_smartepants:

All official Ones
Webcam, Graphic Runtimes, Monitor Grphics Languages & Graphics PhysX

Well, that was the short answer, sorry. I used the DVD I created on the creating sytsem first, so I think the DPs_BASE.log has been overwritten (I even cant find a log on the dvd itself). But the Pack has been integrated properly, as I can use this DVD on other SATA-AHCI-Drives without any problems. HWID will follow on Friday,

The Laptop is not accessable right now, Ill post the HWID later. But what about the log files?! - I can't start the setup, so there will not be any log files?!

I thought it was the same problem, because ist a MCP 6x SATA driver as well.....

hey there

sorry to revoke this, but I got the same Problem using 11.09 with MCP 67/68 on a Fujitsu-Siemens Laptop. I'd be glad to be helpfull if possible to fix this issue (again)

I dont have a AHCI/IDE Setting in BIOS available as well.

Hi.

Thank you for your reply. I didn´t want to confuse anyone. Maybe it´s an individual konfiguration problem.
You wrote nobody has reported any problem like this. A important hint for me. Therefore I downloaded DP Base and all packages again and deleted QSC and the other folders.
I ran the whole process again with the older mass storage version and after that again with the current version.

And what should I tell you? It works now. I swear I´ve tried it before about ten times with different options etc. Nothing. I´ve got no really explanation. Because this is not the first time that I built up DP´s folders new.

I use nlite only to keep my setup dvd as up to date as possible (i.e. by inserting serebys update packs etc.). I don´t use nlite to insert drivers. DP is the best choice for that job in my opinion.

If you still like to know...
I always do these steps:
in nlite
- slipstreaming actual updates and runtimes
- setting options for fully unattended installation
after nlite
- inserting actual drivers through DP (mass storage, lan, wlan, textmode - method 1)
- inserting custom setup screen
with nlite again
- building complete image
finally
- testing in a virtual machine

It seems this problem wasn´t caused by a specific driver. Amdbusdr.sys was just the first missed one. When I removed every entry of that driver setup was missing the next one and so on.
I don´t know why, but during the textmode preparation where no drivers copied to i386 under vers. 10.11. When I took 10.10, I´ve found the drivers there and setup wasn´t missing anything.

But now is everything fine again.

Thanks for your support.
Regards
smile

Hello.

This is just for your information and there´s no workaround necessary for me.

I use nlite to individulalize XP Pro. Inserting the textmode drivers always worked fine.

Since version 10.11 of the mass storage drivers I´ve got some trouble: Windows crashes sometimes just before the whole process is completed.

When the whole process has been comleted without errors setup tells me "amdbusdr.sys" can´t be found during the initial start (while loading F6 drivers).
It occurs anly when I´m inserting textmode drivers. I checked the result after insertion and I didn´t see any of the textmode drivers under I386 I´ve expected.
It seems copying into I386 folder didn´t work for some reasons. All *.sif file entrys where correct. Copying all needed files manually could probably fix it. But I didn´t try it because of the big amount of files to check.

I took version 10.10 and everything´s fine again. No problems with text mode.

Greetings
smile
