Thanks for the hard work and for showing us in the right direction. I'll download the new driver pack version and see how things look then. Hope that it's really an improvement and facilitates things.

Hmm, that's a thing that doesn't seem to be too easy to resolve. The choice between Acronis and Ghost can be a tough one, both have pros and cons in my opinion. I am using Acronis True Image Echo for quite some time and never had any problems. I have to admit that I don't really know what exactly your problem is. Acronis is not compatible with all systems but that should be clear. You have to cope with that, there's no perfect backup software.

yep, it seems you have some applications running in the background. CrapCleaner is a good software, you can try to do it as explained above. You can also try to run an AntiVir or Spyware problem to see if the problem is a virus or other threat.

The screenshots look very promising. So far I am not a big fan of Vista but let's see how it develops. Is SP2 for Vista already available on the web? Would also like to upgrade my system. Still got XP on my netbook, probably I'm just more comfortable with it. It'll need time till I get accustomed to Vista.
