Topic: Problems with Intel ICH6R Driver (3 replies, posted in DriverPack Mass Storage)
Hi,
I have an Medion 10005308 PC with Pentium4 and Intel Grantsdale i915P / possible ICH6R Chipset.
Mainboard is an MSI MS-7091 Rev. 1.0 (oem no support over msi)
The HDD is empty and I have no recovery Software.
When I start with my XP-DVD and newest Driverpacks for MStorage with textmode with:
Bios AHCI = no hdd found
Bios IDE = hdd found, but after formating bluescreen with Stop 0x8E
Tryed to get an F6 Driverdisk without success.
Any ideas?

Jackson

Hi,
I have make the changes and modefied the presetup.cmd, but installation will not work.
I became the same error like before:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/247983/en
You said: you just need to make sure the OEM folder is copied to $win_nt$.~ls (it should be automagically copied)
but how to make it possible if you have an SATA-Controller that's not supported before the driver in textmode loaded?

Re: LAN drivers for XP network installation (9 replies, posted in DriverPack LAN)
I've read your tut but i don't understand all and have a few questions:
At the past a used the DP's to integrate all drivers without (WLAN, Graphics C and 3party) in my XP-DVD
with method 1 with massstorage text mode ON and KTD OFF. That's works fine for me...
So what i have to change to make the RIS-Install possible?
Change slipstream method from method 1 to method 2?
Method to start the finisher: GUIrunOnce ?
Change KTD from OFF to ?
QSC enable?

The networkcard is not supportet form windows, same problem as many mass storage drivers when
not included in the textmode...

Re: How Integrate Masstorage drivers in a WinPE Volume (Textmode) (10 replies, posted in Feedback and Support - DriverPacks Base)
I've testet it with change the txtsetup.sif form a normal xp-CD with the txtsetup.sif of my WinPE Image. DPBase includes the drivers without errors.
Then I copy back the txtsetup.sif and the added *.sy_ to my WinPE Image.
Afer 1second boot an error account: missing biosinfo.sys
I think this way will not work!
The bartpe feature will not work with my WinPe image, DPbase say's no operating system found

Re: How Integrate Masstorage drivers in a WinPE Volume (Textmode) (10 replies, posted in Feedback and Support - DriverPacks Base)
Hi,
I testet a little bit more on my USB-WinPE Image and tried to implant all massstorage drivers from my last XP-DVD Project (included MS-Driverpacks). I copy all .sy_ (I found out thats not needet to extract the files in WinPE, too) massstorage files to the WinPE folder i386/system32/drivers (in WinPE is this the Folder where the drivers are stored) and modified the txtsetup.sif.
Then tryed to start the Stick on some different sata-computers, first all seems to be ok, I see a little harddrive accesses, but then show's me on all PC's a STOP 007B bluescreen.
But I think I have made something wrong in the txtsetup.sif.
Question: Is it possible to copy the txtsetup.sif from the WinPE Image in an normal XP-Image and run the DP_Base over it to include the textmode massstorage drivers? When it works I can copy back the txtsetup.sif and all new files added in the i366 folder (find out with timestamp).
And where can I get the last beta test ms-driverpack?
Regards
Jackson

hm, I think not!
I have an new Notebook with AMD Sata Driver and when I boot from the WinPE a bluescreen shows.
I add my Driver in the TXTSETUP.SIF and put the AHCI7xx.sys to the i386 Folder and it's run!

Using DriverPacks BASE 8.12.4
Only the SAD-Modus for Installatiionplatform is working, other say's "No OS found"

Re: [BUG] AMD/ATI SATA AHCI Controller (30 replies, posted in DriverPack Mass Storage)
I had been glad too early. The new DriverPack 9.01 will not work with my HP 6735s Notebook.
Windows boot from CD an installation works fine, but when he makes the finel XP-Boot a bluescreen
without information displayed and the Laptop make an restart.
My Sata controller ID: VEN:1002 DEV:4391 SubSys:30E4103C 780G Chipset
The DriverPack give this ID an ahci7xx file in path M\AM2 normal it's ahcix86
When I replace (on the XP-CD $oem$\$1\D\M\AM2 and in i386) the ahci7xx.sys with my ahcix86.sys (rename to ahci7xx.sys) from ATI Homepage it works fine.
