ok then integration of KB950162 was the problem. I removed ntoskernel v5.1.2600.5586 and now its works (I also integrate KB956841 and there are newer versions of ntkrnlpa, ntkrpamp, ntkrnmp. no problem removing drivers with nlite for me.

problem resolved...I removed hotfixes from my update pack and  it seems one of these 2 kb is not compatible KB956841 or KB950162 with driverpacks. there is a new version of ntoskernel so its removed from my pack. these hotfixes being not official.. I ll tell you more later. Its quite strange this problem only appears with driverpack installed. I dont really see the link between them

Well in fact I havent solved my problem but its due to an incompatibility with my updatepack. I dont understand because Ive tested under vmware with my previous source that worked (contains old graphic packs) and if I integrate my updatepack (only contains hotfixes, no raid drivers) it freezes. So I will remove hotfixes to see which one causes problems (some of them are not officially distributed under wu).
I dont want to contradict you but it seems drivers being removed are not a problem (I mean only drivers not hardware support under nlite that can cause crashes if removed)

i agree. ill tell you if its really that.
now look at that http://www.image-upload.ch/upload/November2008/imp.jpg
with that source and driverpack its works. (on several computer), but in my new source i think ive been a little agressive with drivers.

in fact nlite i noticed nlite keeps sp3.cab and driver.cab but if you want to integrate drivers in a pack there is no support for certain line in dosnet. I leave you good night.

I will integrate my pack without using nlite at all. I'll tell you what happen. I'm afraid its that.

no I made mistakes. driver.cab is still present but not sp3.cab  it did the same before and i didnt use it for that but my pack is not compatible any more with nlite.

but overflow Ive always removed drivers with nlite without problems. mm there si one thing that has changed before i didnt use rvm and it breaks "driver.cab" it could be that.

yes i did what you do, intgrate driverpack at least.
but I think i will put my pack over the last source to see what it does. after all dpbase only creates an oem folder and changes a few lines in winnt sif no?
in fact my only doubt is about my pack. because i integrate my own pack with rvm and it contains raid drivers but I'm sure there is no errors.

i remove a lot of drivers with nlite...almost everything except cam drivers.most of them are old and useless. but this source worked without driverpack.

this pack is integrated with rvm it has no link with driverpack normally

in fact other logs were good too even when it failed. I also integrate raid drivers in an home made pack. perhaps its not compatible with driverpack. in vmware no pb but without it my hdd is not recognized

T34 passed successfully. so its not driverpack
In order to sum up: source clean with driverpack ok
source updated and nlited with driverpack fails
source updated and nlited without driverpack ok
I will keep that source and update and nlite and see what steps is wrong.

listen i test that under vmware and tells you the results. usually i integrate the packs after updating and nliting...

i dont know what my silly neighbour is doing with her boy but shes always laughing it makes me sick

one minute and my 20mb connection will have dl the packs

I precise also that Ive tested about ten times under vmware...im quite tired.

just one question can we copy an oem folder from a previous installation that work. if yes I cant explain why it doesnt work on my new install (replace a folder already integrated with *.org in i386...)

ok i will redo the job i post the log let me download everything again ive deleted everything

Ive redone the job since Ive told you i had cancelled the job on this one

I still dont understand the problem with *.org files that appears and if they must be present before and their utility.

I precise I update an untouched xp sp3

I will stop with driverpack until I understand. my source is clean and installs properly without driverpack
For information, my former installation was the same xp sp3. I ve only updated the source with an updatepack and run nlite -(like the previous source)
When I copy the previous oem folder from the install cd that works its still freezing under vmware. Ive also remove graphic and 3rd party driverpack, still the same. Its been 2 year since Ive used it without problems.

I dont understand. I have taken the folder oem from the source that worked and put it with my new i386. it doesnt work. So i thought the source was corrupted and removed the oem folder then it worked so it comes from driverpack. I removed third party driverpack it doesnt work. I also replaced old graphic packs a&b and replaced them with the new ones, to no avail.
