Hey

I get "missing DSPdsblr.exe" during install on VM.
It should be in "C:\XPCD\$OEM$\$1", right?
This is my DPs_BASE.log.

EDIT (2):
Is the DPsFnshr.ini generated evry time I run DPs_BASE.exe?

Hey

I just buildt a pc with  nForce 3  & SATA disk---->OK

I have tried the same DVD on  nForce 2/4 and the same SATA HD ---->BSOD

@Bâshrat the Sneaky
The PC's with nForce 2/4 had a ATI card connected.......
The PC with nForce 3 had an old 3DFX PCI card......

How is the progress on this issue? smile

Known issues
- [driver issue] installing onto an nForce 3/4/5 mass storage controller results in a BSOD
- [driver issue] installing onto a Sillicon Image SiI3112 SATALink/SATARAID results in a BSOD

Is there anything new happning to this issue?

@Bâshrat the Sneaky

You are a very patient person smile

Believed you would like that one....

The  "Silicon Image" thing will be your "old faithful" for a while.....;)

So we still need to flip the Floppy(:)) (F6)

Hey

Has anything changed regarding the Silicon Image"problem, withe the relase of DPs_BASE_6.09?

Bâshrat the Sneaky wrote:

And it's really Silicon Image you should blame, not me.

I do not blame you!!

I have to ask someone, and you are The Man smile

ok....
Iam just bit frustrated that I can't make a cd that instals on all of my 5 PC's...
Do you have a answer to (1) and (2) in my previous post?

Hey

Ok, I may be dead wrong but I have to ask.

Is the problem;
1) combination of SiI 3112 and  ATI Display Drivers, instaled on the same mobo.
or
2)The SiI 3112 sata driver, it does not matter what kind of GPU you have.

Because I took out the ATI gpu card, replaced it with a NVIDIA GeForce 6800, and the WinXP DVD instaled just fine.

This was on the PC with Asus A7N8X-E ,that always BSOD'd with 0x000007B.

@Bâshrat the Sneaky
""replace the si3112r.sy_ in your I386 directory "" did not work.
I will never cross post again!!!

Have you  seen this;

Please don't start cross posting

Sorry did not think of that.....it was moving the disk part,that made me make a new topic.

Anyway, your solution did not work. But the DVD still instals on my LANPARTY UT SLi-D with the nF4 chipset ...:!

Hey

After BSOD 0x000007B I took the disk and connected it to another pc as addon.
And it works ok, I can acess all files on that disk.
Is there any information on that disk that I can pull out an give to Bâshrat the Sneaky?

It's regarding the SiI 3112 problem.....

@Zorro
BSOD---->0x000007B

Did not work for me.

[SourceDisksFiles]

REM ati3112r.sys = 1,,,,,,4_,4,1,,,1,4

Hey

Iam going to test this out n my Asus A7N8X-E  mobo.
A question.... ifa mobo  (Diff. from Asus A7N8X-E)   needs the ati3112r.sys..what happens.?
Does it grab another driver due to the changes aplyed here?

Bâshrat the Sneaky wrote:

Is the HDD connected to the nForce 2 PATA controller or to the onboard SiI 3112r SATA controller?

It's a Sata disk connected to the onboard SiI 3112r SATA controller.

During the winxp instal you can remove any partisjon, then format&instal.

I did that on (1) & (2).

Iam going to test (1) with a clean XP instal(using F6 and floppy) later to day.... wink

Bâshrat the Sneaky wrote:

Perhaps your HDD really is at the end of its life? The only way to find out is to temporarily use it in that other pc and install Windows onto it. If that works, then something is wrong with the drivers. Or at least check for bad sectors.

The HD is new....

The Hd is now installed on (2) as addon, and works fine.

You dont relate this to nForce2 / nForce4 problem?

I have tested on two PC's;
1)
A7N8X Deluxe
NVIDIA nForce2
ATI Radeon X1600PRO 256MB
2)
LANPARTY UT SLi-D
nF4 chipset
NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Series GPU  (256 Mb)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1)
Gives BSOD during instal, it formates well, copys all files needed, reboot's--->BSOD
The meassage on VDU says "check your harddisk". (In Norwegian)

2)
Instals without any problem. smile

The same disk where used on both machines, connected to SATA.

Is this the notorious NVata driver problem again.......?

Using HFSLIP Version - 60810----------------------->ok
Using DriverPacks BASE 6.08.6 all driverpacks---->ok
In that order

It works, tested on/with VM,laptop and PC.

Approximately instaltime 55min.

Checked with QFECHECK, and this did not get installed;
KB890830
KB905474
KB911564
KB913433
KB917734
But Winupdate said no updates is necessary.....

I will go to sleep now :zzz:

Edit:
KB890830
KB905474
KB911564
KB913433
KB917734
Checked further, these was instaled. Just dont appear as instaled when checked with QFECHECK.

If you want to configure everything yourself, you may want to try HFSlip.

That was the answer I was hoping for wink
I have read that You and The HFSLIp guy's have been in touch..?

Is this the "proper"way to do it...;
1) Driverpacks
2) HFSLIp

Or should I Slipstream driverpacks with HFSLIp.?

Edit
""Or should I Slipstream driverpacks with HFSLIp.?"" -->Out of order, I can see that now...
