Thanks for the reply TigerC10, I'm almost ½ a step ahead of you..I have tried a driver pack that shouldn't affect things, eg:- Graphics & Sound, as I thought it may have been the CPU or Mass Storage packs, but it didn't matter, any, cause the BSOD, and as for the burning speed, I'm using 2 or 2.4 X dvd rw's.

I used to be able to slim down XP heaps, using ONLY nLite (earlier versions) what seems like ages ago, but if I try the same now, it' just doesn't work,  I have wasted months, trying to get the end result I could be happy with, and this nForce board has turned out to be a Pain In The A--- !!!!!

Regards

Hey guys, I have been "wasting" weeks trying to make a "universal" unattended XP disk, and I have been able to "build" one, using nLite to do certain things, and RVM Integrator, to do other's, and of course DBase for the driver packs here.....however, for whatever reason, I have had success only on Intel based systems eg:- Dells, but the same setup disk just won't work on an nForce 560 Gigabyte board with an AMD 6000+.

If I start from scratch, and do everything up to the point of the driverpacks, i will install, but ANY driverpacks, even just graphics or sound, results in a BSOD.

Any idea's, cause I would REALLY like to get to the bottom of this dilemma. I know there's issues this nVidia based boards, but.........:(

Hi Jaak,

I might give it a go, as I have been playing around with the driver packs & nLite now for a couple of weeks, and I can get a custom disk that will work on an Intel based Dell, but when I run the same disk on an nForce 560 board with a 6000+ AMD it BSOD's. So if you think this might help that, let me know and I'll gladly try it smile

Different nforce driver, but similar probs sad

I've been looking around inside the unpacked mass storage pack, looking for the nVidia drivers.

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but in the ini file, under N, it only shows the N-TM folder, but there's 4 others, eg:- 4, 4Intel, 123 & 590SLI.

Does the ini files "direct" the installation to a specific folder to grab the drivers ??? All the other folders seem to show all the folders !

If that is the case, does the ini file need to be edited to show the other folders ??

It's just that until I can get the appropriate text drivers installed, I can't set up a RAID (but non raid works) on the GA-M56S-S3 nForce 560 Gigabyte mobo sad

I might try adding the drivers that came with the cd, put them in the N-TM folder, pack it up, slip them, and give that a try.

I realise by reading thru the forums, that nvidia / nforce drivers are a bit of a pain.

Cheers

Have you tried installing the factory nvidia 12.15 drivers you linked to?  Do they work?
We prefer to use factory drivers whenever possible instead of specialized drivers like Gigabyte or Dell.

I'm downloading the nvidia package now...all 77MB of it. yikes

mr_smartepants,

To answer your question, after running my XP install, I then ran the driver disk that came with the mobo, and it set up the "missing" drivers, I only setup OS on a non raid setup, and I'd say that the driver pack would not recognise the raid drivers during that part of the procedure, mind you I haven't tried.

As for the LAN driver's, I've noticed that in the LAN driverpack forum, you have posted a reply, as there was another request for the same d/l from nVidia for the 520/560 drivers, which has both the  chipset, mass storage & lan drivers in it, so even tho it's a bit on the large side, you get "3 in 1"

Love your work smile

Have just acquired a new Gigabyte GA-M56S-S3 MB, and the current chipset & lan driverpacks don't recognise this chipset, can you guy's please take a look at this ??

Hi Jake,

Just downloaded the 3rd party monitor pack, as I have quite a few Dell PC's, and I think I have one that could be added to the pack...it's for the 22" wide screen model. Dell E228WFP

Hi Jake,

Back again, OK, it's all good news, it's found and installed the sound card, version # 5.12.1.514, date 13/06/2007 or 6/13/2007 which ever way.

So I guess you'll tidy it up, and post it in the main directory.

Again, I really appreciate your help...no matter how good of a job one does..there's always an exception, isn't there smile

Cheers

Hi,

Am just downloading now, will let you know ASAP smile

So could this have been done thru a 3rd Party Driver Pack...if I knew what I was doing ??? But I guess you'd prefer to have it in the the mainstream packs.

Really appreciate your assistance

Regards

Hi again, Jake,

Well, I have been trying to make a 3rd party pack for these audigy drivers, I've followed the instructions from the 2 guides that are available, and I'm disappointed to say, that I haven't had any luck, and I've tried about 6 different ways sad

I think it might be the folder set up that is the problem.

So I guess I'll have to wait for someone that knows what they're doing.

Thanks for you help, so far...everything else, works a treat smile

Cheers

I have just started using these brilliant driver packs, and I used the Sound A package, as it has the most Creative drivers, and unfortunatley doesn't seem to set up my Audigy Value card under XP Pro.

Can someone please double check this for me...

I might try and create my own 3rd party drivers for it
