Thanks Jaak.

Where are the test packs located?

Alright, I made a quality control mistake, I did 3 things at the same time. I used the default presetup, I used a windows XP machine instead of 2003 to integrate the drivers, and I used WINISO isntead of AutoImage to create my ISO. Now, I dont think the presetup is the issue, so its ether windows XP or WinISO that fixed the problem.

I have tried to integrate the new mass storage driverpack and in the txtmode section I am getting a ViBus.sys cannot be found error. ViBus.sy_ is i the i386 directory where it should be. I have created an ISO using AutoImage and am running it on VirtualPC 2007. I used the driverpack base seperate from AutoImage. Any ideas of what the issue might be?? The build works fine before integrating the driverpacks. Thanks for the help!

I just wanted to write to all of the active members of DriverPacks. I appreciate all of the work that you have put into this community. Know that you are making positive impacts where you may never have considered. You have made an impact in the education of the leaders of the future through your continuing support in this forum of unity among the chaos of diversity within the hardware community. Time is very precious; you can never get it back. With all the time you have saved me and my constituents, I wanted to take some of my time for you, just to let you know. Maybe you are contributing just because you are that good, or maybe just for fun. I applaud you. Thank you.

Alright, the new packs are downloaded, back to work!

Ideas:

-=Creating Unity Among Diversity=-

-=Building Unity Around Diversity=-

-=Integrating Unity Within Diversity=-

-=Forging Unity From Diversity=-

Where the many become one.

Packaging drivers sinse [insert first driver name here].

Giving a new meaning to the words pack and ship.

Packed tighter than Half-Life 2.

Alright, I put this in DriverPack_MassStorage_wnt5_x86-32.ini:

[AT]
ms_count 		= 2

****************

It works for now, but all those poor ahcix86 drivers are not in the txtmode anymore. I had to make sure to do it in the QTC. sad

I just tested both ahcix86.sy_ in i386 and the DP_MassStorage_wnt5_x86-32_7061.7z with 7z for errors with the "test archive" function and they both show no errors... I'll do further testing and report back.

So, the RIS works GREAT! but, creating a CD does not. The issue is with the mass storage DP version 7.06.1 (also, 7.06). When using text mode integration of the driver pack, after creating the ISO and running it on VPC2007, it stops on ahcix86.sys during the driver loading section. It says that it cannot be found. I cannot find on ATI's website where to get this driver. Its wierd that the RIS version works great, but this one will not. The only difference I can see is that the RIS install doesn't go through the drivers in the text mode part and the ISO version does. The file is in the i386 folder.... simply wierd. I could disable that driver in the text mode, but I don't want to because it may be needed in my environment (17,000+ PCs). I appreciate all the help! I love this community, I don't know what I would do without it.

@jtdoom, you mean ms_3_exc_disableIfOS= "w2k" not ms_1_exc_disableIfOS = "w2k" right? I am tring to see if I can figure it out. I cannot find this driver on ATI's website. Maybe I am not looking hard enough... neutral

You'll need to post a link to the drivers to make it easier on the gurus.

BTW, I am building WinXP. I'm just wondering if the hidden character would be an issue for WinXP? I guess it would corrupt the whole file...

jtdoom, you are the man. Let me know when the fix is up!

ahcix86.sys shows as missing during the text mode driver loading screen with the latest mass storage driverpack 7.06.1. I am integrating DP with autoimage 0.1.9.2. The file ahcix86.sy_ is in the i386 folder. I have downloaded the same driver pack at work and home and in both instances the same file error showed up.  :*(

jtdoom, you're awesome wink

I am using the latest driverpacks (DP_MassStorage_wnt5_x86-32_706.7z) with method 2, QSC, and mass storage text mode integration for my RIS server. I am using autoimage 0.1.9.2 to integrate the driver packs. I have the following error in txtsetup.sif:

PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2360="jraid"
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2361="jraid"
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2363="jraid"
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2366="jraid"
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2368="jraid"
="jraid"
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2360&SUBSYS_2360197B="jraid"
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2361&SUBSYS_2361197B="jraid"

For some reason an extra jraid shows up in there... I don't know if something is supposed to be on that line, but once I delete that from my sif txtsetup, it works perfectly! I hope I am of some help.

It would be awesome to get a mac driverpack for dual boot mac intallations. Most of the drivers are covered, but there are some mac specific drivers that are not included... I could send the mac driver cd files if requested!
