Ok, I will give it a shot in the next couple days and let you guys know the results. Thanks for the help smile

I tested with DPBase again and DriverForge (Separate install and after first login) it is trying to find ati2mtag.sys in a directory that doesn't even exist on the local drive. The correct path that I found was G\A\B_95503 directory. I'm thinking it may be KTD and not the DP. I'll test with DriverForge post install and see what it does.

Hey, we got there! That is all that matters smile

Now for the fix big_smile

Appreciate it man. Sorry if I came off as a d-bag and uninformative. Been a LONG past couple weeks with projects and my brain IS Cooked. Thanks for helping me out with this guys, much appreciated smile

OK confusion is eliminated. You are definitely not pushing an image. You are NOT imaging at all.

You are NOT imaging the boxes.

You are doing a normal INSTALL.

We can fix this now that we know what is going on. your misuse of terminology has made this much harder than needed. Now we are all on the same page.

My bad on that.

I have an older HP 5750 on my bench at work.  It has an ATI xPress 1150 chipset.  I'll pull the drive (win7) and put a replacement drive in and try my XP install with DriverPacks.  I use an ODD install disc very similar to yours (U_H's updatepack, OEM activation, no domain, used RVMi for build).
If I verify that the install is normal, then the problem has something to do with how you build or the contents of your build.

I'll report back with my build logs and results tomorrow evening.

Oh, BTW, I never use KTD but I always use my SAD2-enabled thumb drive.

I'm definitely going to get rid of KTD for now as I think it is actually pointless for our setup. Thanks for looking into this, much appreciated smile

EDIT: Just took a look at SAD2 and I am DEFINITELY gonna look into using that. Very Nice!

First off I am not using sysprep because creating the base on an intel box and installing on an AMD was a nightmare. I will be sure not to use KTD from now on. Here is the steps I have taken to create my .iso and how I install it on the computer:

1. Took a retail .VLK and added oembios files to make it oem.
2. Copied contents to disk.
3. Opened said contents in nLite
4. Made modifications (auto-join domain, set local admin user/pass and auto-login once)
5. Integrate service packs, hotfixes, updates and other programs created from SFX Maker
6. run DPBase to integrate driver packs.
7. Run nLite to creat Bootable Disc but skip over all previous set options,
8. Burn the Disc and walk to the computer, place disc in the tray, and let it fly.

That is how I image the boxes and it has worked on all of them except the xpress 1150 chipset, as previously stated. I understand where your coming from and I appreciate the help but I'm not trying to get in a (insert word here) with anyone just to figure out why one driver for the chipset is borked. I'm going to try and run DriverForge post install today and see if the driver for the chipset installs properly.

Thanks

As far as KTD goes...If It's an option that ultimately doesn't work, why is it even there?

I guess using the word push was incorrect seeing how I am in fact using an ODD to install the image on the box. This has only been an issue with one chipset but  I guess this thread is pretty much done so I'll just abandon the project and install them manually.

BTW I do know how to image a box properly and have had success with every box except this one particular chipset, but I guess my preparation is flawed somewhere in the phantom sectors on my disc. I'll check the universal forum. Hopefully in there someone can resolve this issue.

Thanks

Just saw something else that's really weird. When I click "Update Driver" it is looking for a .sys file but the directory it is trying to look in isn't even present on the drive. I was under the impression the drivers, when using KTD, should be in C:\Windows\DriverPacks and the OS should point there for new hardware? Not sure if these are related but throwing it out there to give some more insight as what funkyness I'm seeing.

Im on the most recent versions for both Driverpacks and Base. I edited but it doesn't seem to have stuck, weird. I also used Pastebin as the Android Community has brainwashed me into using it yikes)

Thanks,
Collin

REALLY sorry about that. I should know being in IT to not be that vague (been a long day). This is on an Nlite'd XP x86 unattended install. I integrate the DP's after the Nlite build has completed, I then slipstream via DP and build the .iso. As I previously stated this is only occurring for Radeon xpress 1150 graphics drivers (that I have seen so far). If I take the legacy drivers from AMD and install them everything is good to go.

Thanks and sorry about that,

Howdy!,

I've had huge success with integrating Driverpacks via driverpacks.net, except for xpress 1150 chipsets. Whenever I push an image to these boxes I get "error Code 10: Device cannot start". If I go to AMD's site and pull down the legacy drivers it installs with no problems at all. Can anyone assist in this issue?

Thanks,
Collin
