Ok, many thanks for that info. Now I can think to a solution. Thanks again.

EDIT1: There are any method to inform xp to direct/first search/look into some folder,
for example  Windows\Driver Cache, when you start Update drivers from
device manager ?

EDIT2: There are the Install from a specific location/include this location option,
but right now, i do not know how to add it into registry, before to start device manager.
Also another question, if i set one folder, the driver search include subfolders?
(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\DevicePath: REG_EXPAND_SZ:%SystemRoot%\Inf)

EDIT3: maybe devmgmt.msc can be called with some command line switches?
(something like "mmc devmgmt.msc ??? ???")

@mr_smartepants
I'm using a different method for installing drivers. I'm extracting one or more driverpacks
into one empty folder, then using Folder2ISO, i'm compressing that folder to iso. After
windows setup complete, using DTLite, loading iso into virtual device, then openning
device manager and launching update drivers.
My method worked nice until now. Trying to install by using latest 2000/XP/2003 (x86) DriverPacks
i have been pointed to locate files, first time, sound R2, RtkCoInstXP.dll,  then Lan,  R4, RTNUninst32,
then Wlan some atheros, i can't remember.
Fortunetely i have keeped my old iso's made by described method, so i have switched USB key that contains old drivers.
At that time, no time to investigate what happens, until today when i have seen that the files exists but are renamed.

I do not understand why you have choosed to rename many files from drivers packs?

I know that you are usind DP_base to integrate into install CD, but not all peoples use this way.
Also DP Team make a great jos, i'm not complaining, just asking, maybe there are one solutions
for me to fix missing files.

No, is not created by me, i just find it on the internet, looking to install some hardware, some time ago.
Also are referenced into (not to) many sites. Used it few times with succes to install acpi buttons, etc.
one source are this: http://www.nodoalem.com.ar/downloads/drivers/
Just hopped that somebody knows the source of this machine.inf

@mr_smartepants
Just a question more. somebody have tried to add to XP CD  the alternative machine.inf (machine.inf+drvbck.pdb) ?
Somethime i'm using it to fix unknown device error. will be nice to be allready to XP CD, maybe the errors can be fixed at install time.
Usually i'm using it when downgrading vista to xp, to fix errors with non-drivers hardware, for example acpi buttons, etc.

@OverFlow
I subscribe that "power management" or "ACPI" driverpack can be a verry good option.
Also, i somebody wants, at first sight on my usb stick, i have few more:

ATK0100 ACPI\ATK0110 ATK0100 ACPI UTILITY (Driver Only)
ATK0110 ACPI\ATK0100 ATK0110 ACPI UTILITY (Driver Only)
ASUS010 ACPI\ASUS010 ASUS ACPI Driver (Driver Only)

@mr_smartepants: NVM where is placed, just to be available, installing the executable add unneded/unwanted stuff.
Also, i think , you can add ThinkPad Power Management Driver *IBM0068 *IBM0055, newer (exe) driver are  HERE
Under this link are listed products that apply to.

Please include "ACPI\vpc2004" from the package downloadable on this page: Lenovo Energy Management Driver
Also i have uploaded the driver files only here (10,7 KB, md5:DAE41CED490FB78A84E7414F64FC9E92)

Maybe I'm wrong, but any of the links on this page(http://partner.atheros.com/Drivers.aspx) you will follow, you will not get drivers for Atheros WLAN devices.

Seem that "Atheros AR5B91 WLAN" is not included in current stable wlan pack...(384 KB - SmartDriverBackup capture)

Please implement "Infineon Trusted Platform Module" into next releases. Captured drivers are here (25 KB)

See down in this page notebooks/manufacturers that use it.

Is there any body having drivers for elitech PC 326 webcam driver. I searched the web with Yahoo!, google and Live with no Luck so far. I shall be thankful if somebody can add it. Thanks in advance.

See if this topic will help you, and download recommended (DRV_ZC0301Plus_20070404.zip) driver package from here.  VIMicro Chip Type Detector (ChipTypeDetector.zip) is here.

Right now I do not have access to this network card.
It is inside one of my "clients" computer.
When it come back to service, I will test it.
Many thanks.

Here is hard-to-find Silan SC92031 PCI Fast Ethernet drivers recovered from an crashed xp.
Maybe anyone need it, or maybe driverpack-ers consider to include into future DP_LAN's.
