Yeah I figured it was something simple I was overlooking.  When I zipped them back up instead of having the .ini file and the D folder in the root of the archive I had the folder I extracted them to.  Man that was dumb.  Thanks guys, I appreciate you pointing out what should have been obvious.

I was commenting out a HWID in the nv4_go.inf from the graphics A pack so I can add my own driver.  I posted about it not working already and
mr_smartepants replied it would be looked into, so until an updated pack A is released I'm just trying to patch something together on my own.

Thanks again!

This is bit of a strange issue that I've never run into before and can't seem to put my finger on the problem so I thought I'd see if anyone has some suggestions.  I use autoimage to integrate the driver packs along with some other stuff to my RIS image.  For testing purposes I've dropped off everything but the driver packs.  If I integrate the driver packs without modifying them they all work as expected.  If, however, I unzip any of the driver packs change it (modify one line in an .inf) and re-zip it using the options specified in the FAQ on how to make your own driver packs I end up with a different result.  The driver pack I modify gets extracted to the root of the system drive but doesn't get moved into the D folder.  That seems to keep those drivers from being installed.  I'm using BASE 8.05 and the latest released driver packs.  What actually copies the drivers to the D folder and why would it be skipping the ones I've tried to modify?

We recently received some Dell Latitude E6400 and they shipped with the Quadro 160M.  I downloaded the latest version of all the driverpacks.  The graphics B is version 8.10.  Among a few other devices the display driver isn't installing.  From my limited knowledge and poking around it doesn't appear as though the 160 is supported.  Is that the case?  If so any idea on how long before it might be supported added?  Please don't take that as me trying to rush anyone if it will be months that's all good I'll just add it to a 3rd party pack, but no point if it would be added in a week or two.  Below are the HWIDs

Thanks much

I don't believe the problem is completely fixed.  I'm currently trying to download Graphics B and the file size upon download is roughly 22MB and looks like it should be 52.3 plus the MD5 hash isn't the same.  I'm also unable to extract any files so it appears to be corrupt.  I use all the other packs except CPU and Graphics C and they seem fine but can't speak for the 2 I don't use.

Sorry for the double post.  Thought I caught it before it actually submitted.

I too am seeing the same problem.

jtdoom your link doesn't appear to be working.  Did you pull the file already?  I'm working with a D620 and having this problem so I'd like to give your fix a try.

Thanks

edit
Sorry hadn't refreshed the page since yesterday so didn't realize you have purposely pulled the file when I posted.

Well, guess I'll just keep replying to my own problem wink  I went ahead and added the following line to presetup.cmd: IF EXIST %SYSTEMDRIVE%\BIN\DPsFnshr.7z %UN7ZIP% %SYSTEMDRIVE%\BIN\DPsFnshr.7z %SYSTEMDRIVE%\  That appears to have solved initial problem.  I say appears because I'm not that much of a noob to think just because it works I did it correctly.  If someone that knows the in's and out's of the process flow for integrating the driver packs and could let me know if this is an actual fix or if I've just put a Band-Aid on a broken arm I would certainly appreciate it.

Thanks again

In case this would be of any additional use here is the contents of presetup.cmd.  I THINK this is when DPsFnshr.7z should be extracted but if I'm wrong please let me know.  I may have overlooked it but I don't see anywhere in here where DPsFnshr.7z would be extracted.  I see where it copies the ini file to the root of the system drive but that's it.

I'm hoping someone can give me some direction with a problem I've recently run into.  I'd consider myself a noob so forgive any missing info or lack of in depth knowledge.  I'm using AutoImage v0.1.9.2 to incorporate patches along with drivers in a RIS image.  I've added a few drivers of my own but other than that I've tried to keep it fairly simple.  The problem occurs during the first login at which point I see an error message indicating the system was unable to find C:\DPsFnshr.exe.  I'm not sure at what point DPsFnshr.7z is suppose to be extracted but to me that doesn't appear to be happening.  I say that because I can't find any of the files within that archive on the test system.  DPsFnshr.7z did get copied during the installation.  It along with 7-zip.dll, DevPath.exe, DPsFnshr.ini, and un7zip.exe are all in the bin folder in the root of the system drive.  I'm using DriverPacks BASE 7.05.2 and I've tried both GUIRunOnce and RunOnceEX for the finishing method both ending up with the same result.  Hopefully I've included enough info but if there is anything else needed please just let me know.

Thanks much

Hi All,
Noob here so forgive me if I'm not supplying enough info but I just recently started using DP (which by the way is it just me or did the first time everyone read DP they took it for something else wink ).  Anywho I'm thinking that the correct drivers for this particular SoundMAX card are not included in current sound pack B release.  Yeah, probably a fairly bold statement and I'm most likely wrong but here is what I've come up with.  I've manually downloaded the driver from Dell's site http://ftp.us.dell.com/audio/R132379.EXE and extracted it.  Looking in through the ADIHdAud.inf file I find one of the 2 HWIDs
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_11D4&DEV_1983&SUBSYS_102801DA&REV_1004
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_11D4&DEV_1983&SUBSYS_102801DA
So I extracted the B pack and searched through all the files in the D\S\SM sub directories.  I found 6 instances of ADIHdAud.inf but non of them contained either of the HWIDs.  I also looked at the list of supported models and the 745 isn't listed under pack B.  Oh I should probably mention that using pack B the SC is currently detected as "Microsoft UAA Function Driver for High Definition Audio - Adi 1983".   I'm assuming the answer to this will be a resounding NO but is it possible to include my own drivers by simply extracting an existing pack, tossing the drivers into a new folder, and then compress it again?

Thanks
