I have tryed toshibas website with no luck...vista drivers or Xp drivers.

Yeah, I know that feeling.
Been there, done that...

I called toshiba and they told me I have just voided my warrenty by placing Xp on my system and they cannot help.(crock)

Outrageous!
What a bunch of c*cksucking liars!

Last time I checked it's the customer's free decission what software he runs on his system, OS included.
Basides, the warranty covers the HW (or so you would think), and I don't see how installing another OS goes along with unscrewing the case and opening the HDD (or similar).

That, IMO, is reason enough to refrain from buying Toshiba again...
Plus, if they don't even offer the option to get the system with XP preinstalled.

I GOT IT!  IM A DUMBASS sorry for wasting you guys time, It wasent atheros thats why none of that stuff was working. I had to force the Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG drivers from intels website.

Heh, happens the best of us.
That probabaly means there's a HWID missing in our DriverPack WLAN.

I see you already listed them, but to make things easier on the Driver Team, I advise you to post just that info as a request in the WLAN section.
If these drivers really work for you, then it should just require the insertion of one line into the INF.

Hi guys,
I realise its been a while since this thread was started, still it was great source for downgrading my laptop from Vista XP, so thanks for sharing all your insights. By forcing the drivers listed here and the previous threads I was able to get most of it to work; that goes for Video, Audio, Wifi, etc.

The only bit missing is the Audio Mic Line, that is the sound recording which is essential for using skype, etc. Wondering if I should be installing a more updated driver (I am downloading a more recent version for the UAA) or reinstalling a driver for the CONEXANT HD AUDIO controller.

So here are the drivers I installed:

Motherboard SP3255
Graphics SP33736
UAA SP32646
Audio Driver SP32836
Modem Driver SP33442
(then forced the XP Conexant Sound Driver for P100-ST9742)

Any clues and advice welcome.

Thanks,
