summary of changes
iastor old version, and adaptec had conflicts

jmicron was reported to cause conflicts, the files were updated and changed load order
generics that were seen as causing conflicts were killed, and specifics only were kept in place..

what Vier says, is also a workaround
when you rebuild, after you have edited the INI in QSC, that edit in QSC will be used to as textmode filters.

if you want to unpack mass stor in an empty folder to make your own mass stor pack, you can, you will find an INI, you can edit it, and repack INI and D folder, but make sure to give it a current date name so that when you use it, it will be seen as a version. Base checks legit version names.
IF YOU KEEP SAME NAME, then DELETE QSC FOLDER.
704 can become 70417 and it will be accepted as legit version ''where did you get this", can be ignored. smile

hi
AD-A and Jmicron issues are hopefully resolved soon

have you tried without the datatraveller attached?

test 70416

pull, see later

Hi
just my opinion, but we'd rather see solutions posted so others can also benefit.

I'll look at this.

I must say that posts like this are helpful.
We verify, and do the change, and the poster can test our changes, which is most helpful.
(if not outright 'required'.)

So... Thanks.
I will do it later today, have to leave home soon.

this anouncement was on other board I hang out at, and we can but hope this is not the cause of your issue.

an svcpack fix would be needed if this is the case

is this same issue???

this fix got included in version 704

hi, yep, exactly
the pack is up in testing

included in 70414 test version
file no longer on rapidS

the properties of SYS file tell you version of that sys-file, and they are "at times"  not changed for another model (That is where only the HWID info in the INF is changed, and one finds that most of the rest in INF matches what is in the other)

done

welcome to DriverPacks net.
BSOD in reboot after textmode and first stage of setup are usually caused by conflicts.

Ruud, Muiz3, Bâshrat the Sneaky, overflow, bigbrit, fragbert and so on have been working hard to figure out what causes the conflicts. Feedback by users posting logs is really important, and can help the Dr. Watsons find a solution.

OK, will implement this

I forgot, welcome to DriverPacks net

noted, on P5B-E

edit >> I thought iastor at first, but Mr watson dug up Jmicron..
if that never worked right for you without edits, and it does now, it's progress.

do you have hardware that needs it?
it is being worked on, see.
If you have the hardware, you can tell us so we can give you access to a test release.

wow, it's a big one.
I will see what can be done.

hi
I had to download all of those, and then look at all of them.
I am not complaining, for I do not have all original downloads and I can put them in my collection (also note that it is sometimes wise to keep old ones.)

anyway, I had to look at all of them.
I would like to ask that when a request is made, that only those known to be missing, or only those that are out-of-date(which possibly fix issue you have) are separately linked.

your request has resulted in this (for a future release, currently uploading for tests)

hi Helmi

when a folder is not found (one deleted folder, but had not edited INI for the pack), then the finisher will proceed after logging that this folder was not found.
in other words, it won't abort (the aborts we saw in testing not so long ago were caused by another bug, and solved)

refresh me, please?
what"s the dell issue?

edit, found it
the chipset.
I wish I had a copy of 605
but more than that, I would like to get the files from a DELL CD..

hi
the SYS file differs in size and I doubt this one can be "injected" into another version with same name 'sys"

injecting a HWID into an inf from another version, does not update its CAT (which also has the HWIDs in it..)

suppose all else was same in the INF you find (addreg sections and so on), you would add at least two lines

%INTEL_AMR.Modem% = INTEL_AMR.Modem, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_24C6&SUBSYS_106917C0

ExcludeFromSelect = PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_24C6&SUBSYS_106917C0

I would not waste my time in trying to use an existing one because the file-sizes differ, I would just look at the files it really uses, and make folder 8 and put it in it..
