Sorry about that... I'm only now getting more comfortable with my work on the packs and that was one of those issues that kicked my butt for awhile... either way I will smack myself right after I have some coffee wink

You got it right.  Go ahead and add it then make the version number 10051b1.
You know, instead of keeping those personal mods to yourself, you could pass them upstream to us. wink
Good job!

It still happens with DP_Sound_B_wnt5_x86-32_1004r2.7z and it installs to c:\d\s\i20

Took me awhile but I just checked a Vostro 1520 with DP_Sound_B_wnt5_x86-32_1004r2 and it still has the stacsv problem... I resolve it with a quick reg hack but thought I would report it.

I am actually having great success with the latest 1003... previous systems that had been giving me trouble are working fine EX: D630, V1520, E5400 are all fine so the only system I am currently experiencing any trouble with was the 3700 and I don't have access to it any more. If you want the reduced  HID pack I will be happy to upload it.

Jeff... CONGRATS on the interview... I would think this is very cool for you all!!!

LOL... turns out I reported this back in Nov just when I was getting too busy to follow-up so I dropped the ball.... sorry... the problem is the exact same I experienced before

I noticed that when testing the IDT driver in my pack it installs stacsv.exe to c:\d\s\i20 and runs/registers the service from there. Can't seem to figure out how to correct that other than a manual change in the registry

This pack has always been touch and go for me... I get long streaks where all seems fine and the BAM a set doesn't work. We use 99% dells so when I run into this problem I just use a dedicated ALPS or Synaptics pack and that works for me but I never figured out the real answer for the pack... I'm not that good lol

Update:

I just finished a test using 15.0.9.0 only and it worked perfectly:

Removed all other drivers for custom Synaptics install

THANKS... I have this laptop until Wednesday morning and will test anything you want smile

I had to grab the IDT fro Dell:

When I used DP_HID_wnt5_x86-32_1003.7z on a Vostro 3700 it booted with no keyboard and no mouse. Tried a 2nd install with same results so I tested a pack with:

Removed all other drivers for custom Synaptics install
DOWNGRADE
- \S2  Synaptics TouchPad Driver, DriverVer=02/18/2010, 15.0.9.0 to 12/10/2009, 14.0.19.0

This worked fine... I am trying the 15.0.9.0 driver now and will report back... her are the logs from a 3700 but they are not the original logs from the failed keyboard and mouse

http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=85d5 … 9cace34742

Just tested a brand new Vostro 3700 and I actually have quite a number of driver problems. I have figured most of them out but the NVidia sound items I try to avoid playing with until I hear from you. I have included all the logs etc in the mediafire folder below

http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=85d5 … 9cace34742

I manually installed the the Audio files from NVIDIA_Display_186.81_notebook_WinXP32_whql and that resolved the NVidia items
I added I20\ Added IDT High Definition Audio DriverVer=12/14/2009,5.10.0.6263 to a test pack and that resolved the IDT issue

I'll compile a new source this week and run some tests and report back... I see you guys have been REALLY busy so I will have to put all your good work to use smile

Sorry for my absence from the forum but I have been soooooo overwhelmed with work issues and home issues that I am unable to offer much of anything lately but that also gives everyone a break from my pestering for help smile ....anyway I only have 1 D630 with the Quadro so I have to try and recall what I did to get this to work but from a quick look I can see I am adding a RunOnceEx regsvr32 /s C:\WINDOWS\system32\nvcuvenc.dll and I also run the Knowles through RunOnceEx

CONGRATULATIONS and THANKS... you worked your butt off for these big_smile

Please be patient while we move them from our FTP server to our wicked-fast Simple-CDN host.

WOW 873KBs (6.4 mpbs) NICE!!!!!! big_smile

That worked.. thanks and I will play as time permits

But my 3rd party packs which include the new runtimes don't run at T13 because they are being called to run via SAD at RunOnceEx... Due to the reg limit I have broken my installs in to 2 packs; main which runs normal and then a 3rd party SAD which runs via RunOnceEx...

mr_smartepants wrote:

Glad to be of service Sir!
Let us all know how it goes.

If you take the runtime Third Party DriverPack apart, you'll see in the DriverPacks Finisher .ini that I used %SystemRoot%\system32\atidemgx.dll as a trigger file (tagfile).  This means that the runtimes will NOT install unless a compatible ATI card is present.  Because these runtimes are only required by CCC, there's no point for DriverPacks Finisher to install them when they're not needed. wink
If you want to make the .NET/VC installers default, then delete the atidemgx.dll line and adjust the .ini tagfile count as necessary.

Completes the runtime requirement for the ATI Catalyst Control Center.  Contains .NET 2.0 & VC 2005/2008 installers (compatible with Windows 2000/XP/2003).
Only required if you do not already integrate .NET and VC 2005/2008 in your source.
.NET 2.0 installer graciously donated by YumeYao.  A .NET All-In-One (2.0, 3.0, 3.5) installer is also available for download.  Just replace dotnetfx.exe in this package with the .NET AIO if desired.
Place DriverPacks in \DPs_BASE\3rd party DriverPacks\ directory

I'm having some issues with this that I think are related to my performing a 2 step DP install process...
I followed your directions but they don't seem to install which makes me wonder about the way I am doing this...
Is this pack supposed to integrate and then run at T13? ...my 3rd party packs run from a SAD RunOnceEx call

If I try using YumeYao AIO integrated with RVMI do I still just need to use the VC 2005/2008 and can they run from the RunOnceEx SAD call or is that to late for the ATICCC?
