Original thread: http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic. … 211#p49211
I was trying to install XP using a USB3 drive, but it would always give a 0x7b BSOD at phase 1.
So I modified the Massstorage Drivers Pack:
http://www.megafileupload.com/en/file/3 … 06-7z.html
Once modified I could install XP off a USB3 drive (with Method 2, and KTD for phase 2)
Any chance these could be added to this pack?
if yes, Etron, Fresco, and VIA, need fixing, phase 1 can't find their files for some reason I can't figure out.
Cinfirmed
0x7b at phase1 with unmodified driverpack, even with method 2
I've has issues with this ve-300 enclosure and the SSDs I've tested with it
Crucual m4 128GB - "bad or N/S HDD" - won't go away, works fine in another enclosure
Intel 330 60GB - works, but only in USB2, firmware freezes in USB3 port (ZM-VE300 frozen on display, drive is undetected)
Can anyone confirm an SSD that works in this?
So try an unmodified massstorage DP with Method 2
in the USB3 ports? or USB2 ports?
I'm pretty sure if I try it in the USB3 port without the USB3 Driver I'll get a 0x7b BSOD
SUCCESS!
I included Chipset Driverspack
I modified the MassStorages Driverspack to include USB3 drivers
I used Method2
I KTDd the Massstorage drivers
I used RunonceEx, cause I like being prompted when it is doing stuff.
Anyway, here is the modified Massstorage pack:
http://www.megafileupload.com/en/file/3 … 06-7z.html
P.S
ETRON, FRESCO, and VIA, aren't working properly, Phase 1 can't find their files, I'm not sure why
ASMEDIA, RENESAS(which I have) and TEXAS, are working however (or Phase 1 won't bother you at least).
But how would method 2 work if phase 1 is going to format the disk anyway?

This is from a fresh windows 7 install.
I was earlier attempting to install XP on a USB2 port,
Phase 1 passed successfully, but Phase 2 immediately BSODd with
MULTIPLE_IRP_COMPLETE_REQUESTS
its probably the USB3 drivers,

OK So I've got it working properly - at least through USB2 ports
what I would like to do now is inject USB3 driver into the Textmode so it won't give a 0X7B BSOD when in a USB3 port.
I've made a TXTSETUP.OEM file for my Renesas USB3 controller:
[Disks]
disk1="RENESAS USB3 Installation Disk",\nusb3xhc.inf,\
[Defaults]
SCSI=nusb3xhc
[SCSI]
nusb3xhc="Renesas USB3 Controller Driver"
nusb3hub="Renesas USB3 HUB Driver"
[Files.SCSI.nusb3xhc]
driver=disk1,nusb3xhc.sys,nusb3xhc
inf=disk1,nusb3xhc.inf
catalog=disk1,nusb3xhc.cat
[Files.SCSI.nusb3hub]
driver=disk1,nusb3hub.sys,nusb3hub
inf=disk1,nusb3hub.inf
catalog=disk1,nusb3hub.cat
[HardwareIds.SCSI.nusb3xhc]
id="PCI\VEN_1033&DEV_0194","nusb3xhc"
[HardwareIds.SCSI.nusb3hub]
id="NUSB3\ROOT_HUB30","nusb3hub"
id="NUSB3\CLASS_09","nusb3hub"
in the 3rd party drivers folder.
DP BASE didn't add any entries for them into txtsetup.sif though.
Can anyone help?
I'm using nlite, and am trying to inject Massstorage drivers for my XP installer,
it seems to inject fine, but when I run the installer, it says it cannot find files, and then gives a 7B blue screen
any help?
