Hi,
How can I download the driver pack the download link doesn't seems to work!!
Bye

The download link is working for me... Perhaps my hosting service was doing some quick maintenance just at the moment when you were trying to download the file.

Then it's a bug in the DriverPacks BASE.

I've submitted it to the bugtracker: issue #187: KTD: if KTD set to "all", then KTD is set in DPsFnshr.ini to "".

Very good news, mp3login! smile

It really must have been that updated Realtek HDA driver, then smile

@McStarfighter: of course I don't expect you to donate AGAIN. The problem is that this forum sotware does not support a user to be part of TWO groups, i.e. moderator and donator in your particular case. I've added moderators group to the excluded groups for the ads now. I'll have to install a mod that allows me to add users to multiple groups...

Sorry for the inconvenience, but please just ASK me next time instead of becoming mad wink

I'll check tomorrow to verify this, but my guess it that the Sound Blaster drivers just DON'T WORK when used in Windows Server 2003!

Please post your DPsFnshr.ini and DPsFnshr.log!

I'm very sorry we couldn't solve this! It's one of the very few times that indeed there seemed to be no solution at all. My guess it that you've got a bad chip or something... since there are really HUNDREDS of machines already installed onto this mass storage controller using my DriverPacks!

Good luck and hopefully you'll be around!

It's not yet supported indeed! Will add the driver in the next update.

This entry in your DPsFnshr.ini:

KTD    = ""

has disabled KTD...

And no, I did not make any changes to the Finisher, except for fixing bugs.

Please post your DPs_BASE.ini, so I can see why KTD has been disabled...

I hear this question every once in a while, enough to make an FAQ topic for it. It's very easy though: it's basically the same system as ATI applies to their Catalyst drivers:

DriverPack MassStorage 6.08

The '6' refers to  2006.
The '08' refers to the eigth month of the year, i.e. August.

This means this version was released in August 2006, and is therefore up-to-date up to that time. (It includes all driver updates available at that moment.)

DriverPacks BASE 6.08.2

The '6' refers to 2006.
The '08' refers to the eigth month of the year, i.e. August.
The '2' means that this is the second update after the main release (which would be '6.08' in this case) this month.

These sub-versions are mostly due to bugfixes and due to new exceptions that must be added because some DriverPack has been updated.

What have I to do to remove these f....ing Google trash ?

Do you find them so anoying? One at the top, very small, one after a first post, which is at many forums, and one at the bottom, barely noticable.

Please post your DPsFnshr.ini, so I can try to reproduce your KTD issue.

EDIT:
The progress window you described is NOT the one of RunOnceEx. It's the Finisher's own progress window. I'll see if I can make it movable.
And about your regtweak: if you do it this way, it WILL be unattended:

regedit /S regtweak.reg

Or did I misunderstand that part?

Please post your DPs_BASE.log! wink

Anyway ...

I deleted the DPs_BASE.ini I had from the 6.06 base, started with a fresh one and now it seems to work. Don´t know what it was but thanks for your help anyway !

Bye,
Alex

As I said, a random hiccup tongue Only one solution not to have them: don't work on any computer at all... tongue Linux, Mac, Solaris, Windows,... they all have their hiccups.

Just give it another try, I think it was a random Windows hiccup or somehting like that...

It's not an 'old' bug, it's a KNOWN bug... as I've said in another topic of yours, currently I use the 'cmd.exe /c type' command to convert unicode (utf-8, big endian, litle endian, etc) files to ascii (ansi). The problem is that it FAILS whenever you try to convert a little endian file! Hence your corrupted svcpack.inf. I'm working on it! wink

Probably you still have the file opened in a text editor...? Or your text editor crashed and did not remove its file lock? You can use Unlocker 1.8.3 to unlock the file from any processes.

hehe, thanks jtdoom smile

But that's not an AutoIt bug, it's a Wim bug wink smile

Ah, if it didn't work in the old version either, then I will need the name of your motherboard (if it's a customly built PC) or the model name of your PC (if you've got an HP, IBM, Acer, ...) AND your HWIDs. Please check my signature for a tool with which you can find them.

Yep, muiz reported this to me. I couldn't reproduce it at first, but eventually I was able to fix it. It's fixed in 6.08.2, if you downloaded 6.08.2 two hours after the initial release, then you're safe. If you downloaded it shortly after the release though, then it won't be fixed either.

Why did I do this? Simple: those who downloaded it later will no longer have to do it manually, the fastest ones will have to. At least the majority will experience it The Way It Was Meant To Be!

All fixed in 6.08.2! wink

After some research, it seems the only reliable tool to create a .CHM file AND a website AND a .PDF file from a single source, is this one. The downside is that it costs 300 USD. That would be an amount equal to the amount of donations I got the last three months. In other words: it's too costly.

Unless someone could point me to a cheaper solution, I may in the end still opt for a wiki that requires approval by me if a change has been made - similar to http://unattended.msfn.org/.

The SiS mass storage drivers have not been updated, so did this happen in the past too? And you ARE using DriverPack MassStorage 6.08, right? Please post your DPs_BASE.log and DPs_BASE.ini (use code tags please)

Still in 6.08.2 sad

I'd have sworn I had fixed this. Well, it's not a major bug anyway so I won't put a new version online just for that. Sorry Siginet tongue
