abdou, please provide the HWID list using the tool save_hwids.exe located in my sig. Without it, it's pretty hard to help you here.

In order to help you, we need more details, like the links to download the driver and the Harware ID list (HWID). You can find the HWIDs by using the tool located in my signature. Help us to help you big_smile.

It's an intel controller that's all we know so far. Can you provide the HWID ? You can use the tool in my sig.

Sounds very nice to me, Overflow will love it. Thanks for sharing.

I do something very similar chud, I could help you no problem.

This patch http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888111 is included in the DP_Base.

I have other users reporting that the 2000/2003 driver is not working for XP neither. I will add your driver and specifie it only for XP along with the existing one. It should fix the issue.

Try this, http://dev.driverpacks.thesneaky.com/dr … -32_803.7z

Try this, http://dev.driverpacks.thesneaky.com/dr … -32_803.7z

Try this, _nightlies/DP_MassStorage_wnt5_x86-32_803.7z

(link killed by Jaak, we have a newer file)

http://dev.driverpacks.thesneaky.com/dr … -32_803.7z

Try this one and let me know.

I updated the VIA drivers, if it's not working i'll move the INI sections.

It is present Jaak, I just removed it, I added the Promise driver too

I will take care of it, thx Platoon. Did you do a search for the inf and sys file name to make sure they are not duplicated ?

It's your lucky day.

This one fits for Windows 2003 and contains your HWID, so I used this oen instead, it should work for XP. Let me know if it's working since this is my first mass storage update.

@Jaak, I need to ask couple of questions about mass storage pack. See you in MSN.

Are RIS drivers working on regular Windows ?

You're right chud, that's why I use a plugin for Intel.

cdob, I will look into the RIS drivers and make sure they get added in the next nightlie. Thanks for the feedback.

Nice work, I removed the NAM folder and the bin file, they were not referenced inn the INF. Plus a dll was not named properly. I will add the drivers in the next nightlie.

Well even if it's onboard, I prefer to keep apples with apples, oranges with oranges you know. However it must be added to the smartcard reader pack.

I've searhced for the HWID, it's in 2 INF.

8221w32.inf

and

b57win32.inf

Dell 810 should use b57win32.inf, if my logic is right windows detects the file alphabetically starting with the number so 0-9 A B C etc... So 8221w32.inf gets installed in your case I guess.

Im sure if you install the broadcom driver manually it's working like a charm. To be honest with you I have no clue where the 8221w32.inf came from...it's not even on broadcom web site. I'll work on a fix.

Try removing \DP_LAN_wnt5_x86-32_71227\D\L\B3 folder and let me know if it's working. I compared both inf, 8221w32.inf is dated 2005 and contains less HWIDs. I will probably delete the whole folder in the next nightlie, I need feedback 1st do.

Thanks for the feedback, Ill double check everything and let you know ASAP.
