Yes...
as long as teh BIOS of the machine supports booting from USB flash disk
The OP had an excellent question i felt we should share with our audience.
Hi OverFlow
bevor i try your idea, can you explane, why with index "7" (nvgts7 instead nvgts; nvrd327 instead nvrd32 ?Thank you
The simple answer is because we have 7 unique drivers that are all named nvrd32
Because Nvidia has no clue how to create drivers correctly.
None of their versions can coexist in the \I386 folder together since they all have the same name
(Duh, new driver - new file names - get a clue guys)
The "tag" name is what base renames them to so they can coexist for text mode
(since no tag name should ever be duplicated in the INI)
It is WAY more complicated than above... But that is a good enough answer for now.
McStarfighter did you actually LOOK at 8.09.rc1
The finisher is the main difference...
let's just put a Solved on this one shall we?
It is quite inspireing to think that our project may actualy make PnP a more effective and stable vehicle.
maybe we will all get jobs at the WHQL
i suppose the vendors wouldn't like haveing a new sheriff in town
Sheriff Jaak... has a nice ring to it...
but i think constable Smartepants is a bit much
well done... thanks to deivid for reporting and to Jake for his "next day" service
Ok
1 not useing DriverPacks correctly you need to select mass textmode min for each platform.
2 \i386\asms folder contains some machine specific exceptions that havent been used in years. they are unneeded and removed by most of us as useless files. since they are not modified by us this question really has no place here at all (its not even remotely related to DriverPacks)
So the unneeded files that are not modified by us - what heppend to them - who knows, more importantly who cares...
I am going to say the files got corrupted... start with a clean source and try again...
best of luck ... but when you ask questions that are totaly unrealated to DriverPacks don't be surprized if no one answers you...
(if you cant say anything nice )
I would jsut use nlite to remove that folder altogether
Please don't post off topic...
we all saw your other post...
well if we don't it might present issues like this one for bartpe...
the pleasure is ours - thank you so much for giving back to the community
Well your HWID's are missing from the mass storage pack - so the error is not on your end...
can you post a link to the driver that you know works for your controller
If so then we will make sure it is supported in the future...
thanks for bringing this to our attention. (we hate missing drivers )
would anyone use this feature ?
is it possable that anyone who would want it could easily do it themself and dont need / want it...
talk to me, please
Excellint info thank you...
try this for your INI

let's put it like this... we ahve been doing this for many years and we havent been able to get the latest packs out for over two months.
Its not easy, there are no absolutes, drivers are not written the way they should be... for many reasons hundreds of your drivers will fail.
I am not trying to discourage you from trying but about three years from now you should be able to catch up to where DriverPacks is now...
If you find that we dont include a particular driver just ask
we will eeither help you add it or we will - that is why were here
thanks for asking - I'll help you if i can
yes it will work from cmdlines.txt
but why not just use DriverPacks normaly... ?
Welcome to the team Kay
Thanks for translating for us...
It only seems resonable that all the translators should have testing team access so they can be aware of changes ASAP
i agree ...
take a look at chipset - most of the inf's do not include a copy file
I belive that base 8.09x SAD called from runonce should work fine... based on that post above...
but he is trying to use WSnows approach instead.
you can lead a horse...
IMEID ... now i am going to have to go look that up... rats...
Awsome ... Thanks Muiz
see the home page and the SAD Disk post in the FAQ
We talked about it before in the other thread...
OK jinkazama and KAY you are translators now at bugtracker...
as outlined in the Bâshrat the Sneaky sticky "how to translate"
Since you may have to deal with BUGs in your translation, IF any ever arise.
You can now "resolve" bugtracker issues that might possably be assigned to you.
PS jinkazama your title of this post is no longer accurate
updated by me
was the dp mass storage plugin enabled in pebuilder? (sorry dont know your experience level)
base version and mass storage version would be nice to know too...
can i have the HWIDS of the mass storage controler please?
did you use my tutorial as a reference (the "instructions" you followed were mine)?
