did you update the UBCD4Win mass storage DriverPacks to v901 also?
i think you said you did but i'm not exactly sure based on your details...
i need to know that you added the new pack and "configured" it from pebuilder or ran BASE
Either method will create the new plugin based on the 901 DriverPack, if you simply placed the new pack in your plugin\DriverPacks.net\Base\DriverPacks\ folder then the updated plugin has not been created yet
if you did update the plugin properly then i will need you to provide the HWID's useing the tool in my signature.
Thanks for reporting and welcome to DriverPacks
This has been done already by one of our users, although not for LastXP...
Check the stickies in the 'Software' forum where I have moved your post to.
Feedback and Support forum is for DriverPacks BASE support only.
This would not be an unattended feature,
It would be an attended feature,
and attended installs are not directly supported by DriverPacks
Welcome to DriverPacks and have a great day!
Jeff
this is a REQ until it is added then it is IMPLemented
We are working on supporting sysprep directly with DriverPacks BASE, as a result of the new platform being added that tutorial wil become a historical reference
, and be replaced with a tutorial that features the new base functionality
Thanks so much for reporting your success and we are so glad to have been of service to you.
Have a great day!
DriverPacks loves Italy and you to J...
Let's see if this generates any interest...If so, then it will be as you desire!
if you read on in the skinlayers tutorial thread (which is excellent by the way)
it states quite clearly that makePNF will create duplicate and more importantly Unsigned INF's and will create issues. I realize it is many pages long but if you only read the first post you missed a gold mine of helpful tips and secrets
Don't use makePNF that should solve your issue. Thanks for providing the missing pieces of the puzzle!
Jeff
I guess you didn't fully read my last few and just assumed the content?
(My thoughts on SysPrep are well known
)
I understand...
Please take a look at the sysprep alpha in the testing team forum that is available to you
I have a suggestion - how about upgradeing the tutorial to include the use of BASE...
I can only assume you have not been keeping up - since you just got back
Welcome back, please take a moment to get caught up. I am really really really looking forward to your input.
It is not supported... and will fail... Hundreds of drivers (possibly thousands) will be broken if you do.
You just have not tried your method on enough machines to discover the enormity of your failure
I hate repeating myself... topic closed
Please update your DriverPacks BASE and DriverPacks to the current versions.
report the results after useing the current versions TIA
code tages added for you please "edit" your post to see how it is done
Welcome to DriverPacks
I am sorry to have to report that the SysPrep platform is not currently supported by DriverPacks...
Posted on wrong forum... moved to Universal Imaging from Graphics.
One of teh sysprep gurus may attempt to help you...
However if you do not tell them (us) the exact steps you took in detail to add DriverPacks to your sysprep I would not expect anyone to respond to your post...
Welcome to DriverPacks
Have a great day and I wish you the best of luck!
moved to correct forum
Please read the tutorial and add driverpacks with the DriverPacks BASE program.
That is the ONLY supported method to add the DriverPacks.
YOU CAN NOT ADD DriverPacks SUCCESSFULY WITH nLite... It will fail, PERIOD.
DriverPacks will NOT work if you try to add them with nLite, as you have discovered already.
because the scsi vmware driver is not included
Use the IDE emulation for vmware
I think the answer is in the question... no valid OS was found
RIS is not a supported platform
however if you take a look at RogueSpears AutoImage it will add DriverPacks, as it creates a RIS folder from a valid source.
you can not run DriverPacks against an existing RIS image (even with AutoImage)
- as i stated RIS is not a (directly) supported platform (Disc only)
Moved to correct forum
That sounds like a 400 foot tall modem LOL
I have no idea... sorry
lets see the HWIDs...
Welcome to the Testing team! You will find a new forum is available to you now!
Hey fragbert... would you like to donate some time to us... we need some bodys for the packs team (and you are a veteran!), can you donate an hour or two a month?
you were quite clear, however DPInst has made KTD obsolete
, please take a look at it. TY
however if you are dead set on KTD (which you did not mention at first)
you could try useing or at least referencing makepnf and DevPath (our DevPath is 32bit only) which are the tools that make KTD work.
google dpinst
Driver Install Frameworks tool supports vista too. (Not the same one we are currently using for xp)
Windows Driver Kit (WDK) has a newer version of the dpinst.exe that supports Vista 32 and 64bit versions.
I thought the Vista team would respond, so I didn't...
I am sure you can get it to work with no trouble
Me too... Vista was Windows ME version 2...
XP-64 never was very popular, this is even further evidenced by this thread...
50 posts in 8 months...
Win7 is the answer...
Rats, I have work to do... Again
Wow... i guess i shouldn't respond when i need sleep
Great job Toprak...
Thank you so much for reporting!
And I would like to thank you for such an awesome job of providing those excellent details!
In the updated version on the bugtracker 18 is added but 12 is still missing.
I am quite certain you have figured out you can update the file yourself
(as a workaround)
You could have created a bug report for KenanBalamir or added a note to the report
http://bugtracker.driverpacks.net/view.php?id=482
I have added a link to your post about the missing entry in his submission...
Thanks a million, and have an awesome day!
Jeff
the DriverPacks are free, this is not a job and we don't have a scheduale to meet...
We will release them when they are ready.
It is considered rude by the team to be 'pushy' in this manner.
"As soon as possable" was your answer. Please be patient.
When they are ready they will be released...
The bottom line is... We want to release them as much as you want them released
Please try to be respectful of the time we DONATE.
