I'm NOT using RyanVM updatepack on my French XP. There's a french RyanVM pack but is more or less maintained, so I update myself KBs.

Won't work. The RVM Integrator uses the exact same method I'm using now. That means it ALSO does not work properly when used on Little Endian encoded files!

But I've got some good news about this issue... the conversion utility is ready and it'll be included in the 6.09 version of the DriverPacks BASE, on which I've been working very hard the past week... now only some bugs left to squash, all new functionality is working.

Hmm... and issue for Bâshrat the Sneaky to look at...
but I see the difference between yours and mine is that you are just adding the drivers from the pack for the HD Audio support.... Where as I have the RyanVM packs that Installs and driverpacks version of the hotfix isn't applied, but rather RyanVM's version is.

It's only installed when you use DriverPack Sound A currently. But Sigmatel HD Audio was added to DriverPack Sound B so that should be changed... perhaps you did not slipstream DriverPack Sound A? Then that explains this last issue.

It shows clearly that HD audio wasn't detected, and everything works fine after I manually installed KB888111 (should be integrated by DP BASE ?) ... so why does it works on your A8N-VM ... and not on mine ? :-s

From my experiance the "Multimedia Audio & Multimedia Video" devices are from a TV or FM Tuner card.
...But as I've stated before I have never had ANY isssues with unknown devices on this mainboard, but I use RyanVM's pack through nLite... I dont know if that would make any difference. But I have installed windows with the driverpacks on at least 10 of these identical boards in the last month.......... no issues.

are you sure there are no PCI cards in the system??? sounds like a Hauppauge WinTV 88x card to me (could be another brand, but that is most common WinTV Chipset).

If it is needed, I am getting another shipment of this motherboard mid next week, I could grab the HWID's off one of them...

I've tested yesteday with latests DriverPacks & DP_BASE 6.08.6 : still the same .
I'm trying to install manually KB888111 (Microsoft HD Audio), then XP founds a new device and asks for "hdaudio" file ("hdaudio.sys" or "hdaudio.sy_"). After pointing to I386, driver is installed, and I have no more unknown "PCI device" in device manager .

However, "multimedia" & "multimedia video" devices are still unknown .
