All you guys are so smart on here so I thought I would ask if any one figer it out yet. I am also needing the same drivers. I have a gatway m-150xt Laptop that I also went from crapy vista to XP pro. 			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>hi<br />When I looked at the HWIDs I saw two sound HWID lines.<br />the first one almost at the top.<br />PCI\VEN_1002&amp;DEV_AA10&amp;SUBSYS_0561107B&amp;REV_00\4&amp;239D83FF&amp;0&amp;0108: Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio<br />and then this one.<br />PCI\VEN_8086&amp;DEV_284B&amp;SUBSYS_0561107B&amp;REV_03\3&amp;B1BFB68&amp;0&amp;D8 : Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio</p><p>the ATI graphics drivers have HDMI (w/i sound for TV out?). <br />I had some trouble installing ATI HDMI drivers not too long ago and now think of it as a problematic installer.</p><p>the other is intel&#039;s. <br />We had some issues with IDT in the past.. <img src="http://forum.driverpacks.net/img/smilies/sad.png" width="15" height="15" alt="sad" /> </p><p>Thank god there is no modem in there.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>hi m8 strang the driver i used dident work for you you may have some small difference in hardware try going to <a href="http://www.driveragent.com">www.driveragent.com</a> and run the free driver update scan this may give you options for alternat driver to download but the bad part is you have to join and pay to get them but you can see what it lists and search google for them or past the link here and i will download for you and email them to you as i have a paid membership from work<br />andy</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Oh believe me, I am in no way blaming DriverPacks - I have had no issues with the current build I have on any of the desktops I&#039;ve used it on.&nbsp; It worked fine on a recent Dell laptop, I just think Gateway has it out for me personally <img src="http://forum.driverpacks.net/img/smilies/wink.png" width="15" height="15" alt="wink" /></p><p>I will look through the 3rd Party sections on the forums and see if there might be something that matches up - from the searches I did of the forum I didn&#039;t find anything offhand.&nbsp; It is just finding the driver that will work to begin with...I even used Driver Genius to backup the Vista sound drivers and then attempted to Restore them in the XP environment as a &quot;last ditch effort&quot; - but that still did not work.</p><p>As far as you helping me is there any other direction you could suggest to me to attack this from?</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Laptops quite frequently will only work if installed with the OEM providers drivers.</p><p>We extensively use reference drivers <br />what if we had to use every individual nvidia manufacturers drivers in the packs&nbsp; (they would be twenty times the current size)</p><p>the problem is Laptop manuracturers will normaly drasticaly mod thier chips (to reduce power consuption or heat... wahtever)</p><p>the best solution is to make a 3rd party DriverPack that includes your specific laptops driver.</p><p>it is the manufacurers fault / error if a given device will not run a reference driver correctly. <br />if we tried to support every laptop available then our packs would be ten gig instead of 300meg&nbsp; </p><p>Laptops are a PITA i suggest that you create a 3rd party DriverPack for this driver and call it a day.<br />If we get a lot of requests for this particular one it may eventually end up in a main pack. <br />that is not likely because it will then cause conflicts / issues for the drivers that we do include.</p><p>if you are able to figure out why the included (reference) driver fails we may be able to make an exception in our packs to address it. IE there is a setup.exe that runs in addition to the driver that will make the reference driver work.<br />then we could test to see if it is needed and run it. <img src="http://forum.driverpacks.net/img/smilies/wink.png" width="15" height="15" alt="wink" /> </p><p>you will need to tell us since we don&#039;t have this laptop ourselves to play with...</p><p>let me know if i can help in any way</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Andy, I tried the first link - the setup.exe did not work either, and so I loaded up device manager and pointed the IDT device to update to the driver that was extracted, rebooted per the prompts and still did not work <img src="http://forum.driverpacks.net/img/smilies/hmm.png" width="15" height="15" alt="hmm" />&nbsp; Still have a yellow ! mark on the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC.</p><p>I tried the Sony link in abdou&#039;s post (<a href="ftp://ftp.vaio.sony.co.jp/pub/vaio/download/SP-011080-05/STDAUD-01108005-UN.exe">ftp://ftp.vaio.sony.co.jp/pub/vaio/down … 005-UN.exe</a>), rebooted - and still...no luck!</p><p>This morning I used the same build I posted as above on another Gateway laptop (NX570x - however) and STILL I had to go to the Gateway website and then be referred to MCP Support and download the Audio Drivers from MCP before Audio worked on the earlier, BUILT FOR XP branded Laptop.</p><p>I think Gateway just has it out for DriverPacks!</p><p>Any other suggestions/thoughts/direction?&nbsp; Would appreciate it!</p>]]></content>
