This post has been entered on another, similar thread so please feel free to delete the most inappropriate one.

I too am having BSOD crashes when installing DriverPacks on XP Pro SP3. Before coming to this forum, as a first visitor, I did some investigation of my own.

The problem is identified as NVENETFD.sys which normally installs as NVEFDXP.sys in C:\WINDOWS\System32\Drivers.

I am using an MSI MS-7125 board with NVIDIA nForce4 chipset. According to the nVidia website the latest drivers for nForce4/500 series are contained in their package v6.86. The version of NVENETFD.sys in this package is v1.0.3.5025 and my previous installation works OK with this.

I created an image of the failed installation, recovered the previous installation and mounted the failed one to discover which version was now being installed. The version of NVENETFD.sys installed by DP_LAN_wnt5_x86-32_8051.7z was found to be v1.0.1.6015. While other versions are available v1.0.3.5025 is not. The new version offered (DP_LAN_wnt5_x86-32_805D.7z) contains only the same version as the previous one.

I had a look at DP_LAN_wnt5_x86-32_7062.7z from last year and found the needed version in the D\L\NV\45_rest folder. I suspect the lack of the supposed correct version has something to do with the problem.

As the LAN pack from last year, for my purposes, is completely up-to-date I will now create another XP installation CD with this included instead of the most recent version and report back.
