If you have it there at hand, then yes that'd be great. Then I can make the "official" cd to use with this laptop forever.
Thanks a LOT for all your help!! It's amazing to see how you guys have the perfect solution, while big companies like Intel and Fujitsu Siemens are too retarded to provide some proper service.

Hmm, it got me further than before, the new slipstreamed XP Setup properly recognized my hdd and formatted it and everything, but further in the process it asks for a file "usbehci.sys" which it seems to expect in D\C\I\2k but isn't there..?
I cancelled it now and Setup seems to continue, am I missing something important now or..? (the filename sounds like something USB-related, but my USB mouse is working fine in setup)

Ok, I didn't have text mode enabled, will try again with that.
Is DriverPacks method 1 OK? Method 2 sounded like it already needs to access the HDD (to put the drivers there), but accessing the HDD is exactly where the drivers are required for in the first place
Does Finisher method make any difference? (I only need the XP Setup to recognize my Sata HDD to install XP on it, nothing more)
About the HWIDs, I currently can't run anything on that machine (hdd is formatted) so that's not an option I guess?
All I know is:
Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pi 1556 Notebook
Harddisk: WDC WD1200BEVS-07LAT0
Intel 945GM chipset
Intel 82801GBM SATA AHCI Controller
Intel 82801G (ICH7 Family) Ultra ATA Storage Controllers - 27DF

I've got a regular Win XP Pro CD. When booting, it doesn't find my notebook's SATA hdd (Western Digital 120GB, and Intel 80821GBM sata controller). Couldn't find any appropriate drivers for it.
Used DriverPack Base to create a slipstreamed CD with the latest MassStorage and ChipSet DriverPacks, all fine, burned the new CD and booted from it. However now Windows Setup STILL doesn't recognize my hdd
What should I do?

Just downloaded Base 6.08 and MassStorage Driver Pack 6.08
Looks nice 'n all, but how the heck do I select the MassStorage DriverPack in the Base program?
Maybe I'm just retarded, but the checkbox is disabled and grayed out, and I have no clue whatsoever to how get it enabled (no browse-for-driverpack or anything).
Tnx!
