I'm happy to test out any beta drivers you need.  Let me know ^_^  and thanks in advance.

Same here RS... All new E series laptops with HDD encryption apparently come with em >_<

Sadly yes....  It's being included in several new hardware models including Dell / Toshiba / etc.

Without the driver / software you end up with this

http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/8615/64397037vl1.th.jpg

Any laptop that comes with encrypted HDD's needs this software to function properly.

Any chance we can find a spot for the USH drivers?  I have a new Dell E6400 series that needs this driver, and I didn't see any pack that would include it.

Also please note that this is not just a package of set drivers, it is also an application - http://support.dell.com/support/downloa … p;impid=-1

I also ran across this, not sure if it helps - http://community.landesk.com/support/me … 4518#14518 and http://community.landesk.com/support/se … ysprep.zip + http://community.landesk.com/support/se … %20Hub.zip

They sysprep might help narrow this one down for us.

Any specific location where this driver can be placed?

Overflow it looks like we're 1/2 way there - http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/8615/64397037vl1.th.jpg

The IDT driver is found but not working properly now... still possible revision problems?

*edit* this is a fresh install of XP with out any drivers installed other than the Driver Packs (a.k.a. I didn't go to dell.com)  We've come a long way from where it was previously, so I'm happy ^_^.

*edit X2*  I used the drivers provided by Dell for the E6400 series and it worked flawlessly.  Perhaps this model of hardware uses a custom IDT driver?  Can we include that as well?

link is dead....

Are you still splitting the packs up?

New version works great ^_^

I intergrated the beta version you gave me and it worked great ^_^.

I still want that Ricoh driver slipped in there, too bad it's gonna have to be a 3rd party set.  >_<

*edit*  the driver finds the hardware for the Ricoh, but it is unusable until a Windows Update.

There also appears to be a 2nd set of audio driver for this model.  I'll do some more digging, but I'm sure it's there.

I just got a shipment of 300+ Dell E 6400 series laptops in, and the chipset pack does not find the needed drivers for them.

Intel AMT HECI - http://ftp.us.dell.com/chipset/Intel_AM … 192786.exe
Intel Mobile Chipset - http://ftp.us.dell.com/chipset/R182522.exe
Intel AMT SOL/ LMS - http://ftp.us.dell.com/chipset/Intel_AM … 192787.exe
Ricoh R5C847 - http://ftp.us.dell.com/chipset/R188776.exe

The strange thing is that all 4 are needed for this model.  Just thought I would pass the info along to you.

I just got a shipment of 300+ Dell E-6400 series laptop's in, and after installing XP over Vista I did not find any sound drivers for the system.

Dell Sound Driver - http://ftp.us.dell.com/audio/IDT_92HDXX … 206243.exe

It looks like Remy007 also mentioned this driver or (or similar) in a previous thread.  I'm just covering all the bases to make sure my version isn't a different set of IDT driver.

If there is anything else I need to include please let me know.

Issue has been resolved for mass storage with a dp_base.exe update.

Still missing several drivers on separate hardware though.  I'll make a new ticket soon.

Well here is the HWID for the Optiplex 960 series.  Dell uses a custom Chipset series of driver... I was unable to use the one off of Intel's site.

any chance of integrating these into the next set?

Anyone try the Mass Storage drivers yet for the Dell E 6400 series laptops yet?  Our work just got a shipment of 200+ laptops in and we're working on a base image for it.  From what I have seen so far in Sysprep it looks like Dell has used a modified ICH9-E SATA Storage Controller for the system, and I am having h*ll of a time getting the script to work.

I also tried the ICH9-E drivers from Intel, but that was no luck either.

Anyone else try this driverpack yet?  Just curious before I dive head first.... who knows perhaps I'll add another driver to the list of supported hardware by the time I'm done ^_^

--ssx--

I run DP as my last and final change prior to recreating the .iso and installing windows.

*edit*  it looks like I f'ed up on my install some how.  After starting from scratch again it's working now.

Text mode was on, I'll get you some HWID's and log files in a bit.

Just a heads up.... the current driverpacks do not work for this Acer extensa 4620.

XP Pro + SP3 + RyanVM post updates
Driverpacks Lan / Wlan / Sounda / SoundB / Mass Storage.

No dice.....

ftp://ftp.acer-euro.com/notebook/extens … tility.zip

I opened up the 32bit version with winimage to extract the files.  They work great with hitting F6 before loading the XP setup screen, but without it I get nothing.

Any chance on adding them?
