But the problem is, that "unattended.sourceforge.net" is only transfering the i386 folder to the disk. This means that every folder OUTSIDE i386 is useless.
Is there no solution for this problem ?

Hi OverFlow,
sorry but I think my bad english was the problem. No I understand what you mean.
I definitly used driverpacks to slipstream and explain you now what I exactly did.
When I use driverpacks to Slipstream (I used method 1) then a folder is created called $OEM$. This is correct but there is one problem.
The folder $OEM$ is placed OUTSIDE the i386 folder by driverpacks. But I use the "unattended.sourceforge.net" pack on my server to make the unattended working.
And this Pack WANTS THE FOLDER $OEM$ INSIDE THE i386 folder.
Now I copied the $OEM$ folder created by driverpacks into the folder i386 and my folder structure is looking like this now:
i386
--->$OEM$
-------------->$1
------------------->Drivers
----------------------------->_000_Controller (For the SATA Controller)
----------------------------->Video
----------------------------->Audio
------------------------------------>File devon
------------------------------------>File DP_Install_Tool
------------------------------------>File DPInst.XML
------------------------------------>File DINST
------------------------------------>File DPsFnshr (The Finisher)
------------------------------------>File DPsFnshr.ini
------------------------------------>File DriverPack_Sound_A_wnt5_x86-3
------------------------------------>File DSPdsblr
------------------------------------>File makePNF
------------------------------------>File mute
------------------------------------>file pmtimer
------------------------------------>FOLDER D
------------------------------------------------->S
---------------------------------------------------->CR1
---------------------------------------------------------->common
---------------------------------------------------------->lang
---------------------------------------------------------->support
---------------------------------------------------------->win2k_xp
---------------------------------------------------------->Lot of files
---------------------------------------------------->CR2
---------------------------------------------------->N
---------------------------------------------------->R1
---------------------------------------------------->R2
---------------------------------------------------->R3
---------------------------------------------------->V1
---------------------------------------------------->V2
---------------------------------------------------->V3
---------------------------------------------------->V4
-------------->TEXTMODE (For the SATA Driver which works in this configuration)
The Files in the Audio Folder are created by driverpacks.
In my unattended.txt I have the following:
OeMPnPDriversPath = "Drivers\_000_Controller; Drivers\Video; Drivers\Audio; Drivers\Audio\D\S\CR1"
I hope that you as professional can now see my mistake, because I think the Problem is the location of the so called finisher.
Thanks in advance
Hi OverFlow,
thanks for your answer.
You wrote:
"since you are not useing driverpacks
then you will need to do this another way."
But under my point "1" I described already, that I was using driverpacks to include the drivers and it was NOT working.
Hi friends,
today I tried the following methods:
1. I included the completely driverpack "Sound A" and added to my unattend.txt the following:
OemPnpDriversPath="Drivers\Audio"
The completely path is: $OEM$\$1\Drivers\Audio"
In the path I copied the completly content of the "D/S/CR1" Folder of the Driverpacket "Audio".
When Windows is installing I get the message "Windows is refreshing the Creative Driver files"
After installing everything seems ok. This means that everybody seems to be OK in the devicemanager.
But I cant hear anything.
When I deinstall the driver Windows reboots and after this reboot it works.
2. Same Method as 1, but I didnt use Driverpacks to integrate the drivers. I only was copying the drivers to $OEM$\$1\Drivers\Audio"
and I have the same result as under point 1.
Could somebody help me ?
Thanks
Yes, but the problem is, that my card "Creative X-FI Extreme Music" is not listet as supportet. A lot of different X-FI Cards are listed, but no one with the extension "music"
Hi Helmi,
thanks for your answer.
I tried this way already. I guess I have the wrong driver files. I use the packet SBXF_PCDRV_LB_2_18_0004.exe and already extracted it, but I am not sure what files I need.
Hi community,
I am new here and have some problems to get my X-Fi Extreme Music card to work unattended.
I have tried Method 1 and Method 2 to integrate them but it failed.
Is it possible only to integrate the drivers for this specific card without slipstreaming ALL the audio drivers ?
I should tell you, that I dont make a CD resp. DVD. My unattended installation is working via a tftp server like described in unattended.sourceforge.net.
After the installation failed i copied all the driver files in a subfolder under the $1 folder but windows is not recognizing them.
Is there somebody you could tell me how i have to proceed to get this card to work ?
Thanks in advance and best regards
