Hello all, I'm in need of some help before I pull the remainder of my hair out!
I re-installed xp yesterday on my Dell Dimension 3100 and now I don't only have zero sound, but I am unable to watch live video feeds....both I miss very much.
After re-installing, I downloaded the network, video, modem, chip set and audio drivers that a Dell rep had me burn several months ago after I was having a few issues and had to re-install. I can only assume these are driver issues, I don't have a clue. I'm not exactly computer savvy, so you have NO IDEA how much I would appreciate some help.
I've gone to the Dell diver download site and tried every driver option they had, and nothing changes, same ol'. When I go to audio devices, all is grayed out.
I can only assume these are driver issues, but I'm at a loss. When I go to 'system information', it does say that the "sigma tel high definition audio codec' cannot start. I don't know what to do fellas/ladies....HELP! I will overload you with the hardware info from the 'system info', as I assume more is better than not enough.
