The SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC does not show up in that list. It's Ven_8384 Dev_7690.

I have already installed the kb888111 and extracted the 'common files' from it and tried to add it to the driver pack. Both do not work for me.

Hi all,

I know this is a huge issue because so many people seem to be working on it. I was wondering if there is a fix for this issue:

With SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC (Ven_8384 Dev_7690) I get the (!) in Device Manager when I use the driver packs with XP Sysprep.

It installs a 'SigmaTel Audio' control panel as well but errors: stacgui   "SigmaTel Audio driver is inaccessible. Please make sure it is installed and enabled." when attempting to launch its control panel.

I'm using the current Sound Driver Packs (A 8.02.1 and B 7.12)

Does a fix exist? Is this an issue with all HD Audio cards? ( I have 'Dell 745's that I have not yet tested but they have the SoundMax integrated Digital HD Audio (Ven_11D4 Dev_1983). I know people have had issues with this card as well.

I've looked through all the forums and have tried many things. If anyone has any help It would be must appreciated.

P.S. I love this forum and driverpacks.net. I'm glad so many people can come together and make something as magnificent as this. Bravo all.
