I've uploaded the entire contents of the CD to http://www.bobbyz.org/mvsatacd.7z (about 5MB compressed). The structure of the driver on the original CD is quite different from the structure of the newer driver shown on their ftp site. According to the directions in the 'SAT2-MV8 1.0.pdf' file on the CD, the files to use for 32-bit Windows are in "\Windows_3_4_1\build\Windows\i386\Free", which includes three files, "mvsata.inf", "mvsata.sys", and "txtsetup.oem". I included the first two files, but I didn't think the txtsetup.oem file was needed. Thanks a lot for looking at it.

Hello. I thought I'd give this thread a gentle bump and follow-up. I went ahead and created a driverpack for the driver that came on the supermicro CD. I've uploaded it to http://www.bobbyz.org/DP_Marvell_wnt5_x86-32_708.7z . I can't test the driverpack since I have been unable to get it to integrate into ubcd4win's pebuilder, and I have no idea what I'm doing wrong there. This driver is older than the one I linked to in my first post, but the driver I originally linked to is perhaps confusing since it lead one to believe it is for an adaptec controller. In reality the device IDs match up between the drivers and the other driver is more up-to-date. However, this driver comes directly from the driver cd that came with my sata card, so there can be no mistaking it. Hopefully this can be integrated into the official driverpack. Imho this sata controller is one of the best controllers in the $100 price range ( http://www.provantage.com/supermicro-ao … UPM0X9.htm ).

I'd love to see a driver for marvell's hercules 2 sata controller, found in Supermicro's AOC-SAT2-MV8 8-port sata controller, in the mass storage pack. The 32-bit version of this driver is available at ftp://ftp.supermicro.com/driver/SATA/Ad … N03_32.zip . This will be useful not only for people like myself -- who own the supermicro card that uses this controller -- but for anyone using Sun's new Fire X4500 "Thumper" server, as its SATA drives are run by the same marvell chipset.
