Thank you, yes I myself was suprised to see that, I tried to install a Conotext? driver and it listed in device mgr as just that, but windows says I have no sound device, when I unplug the addon sound card that is. Thanks again, I will investigate the post you linked to.

OK, well here they are

Well, the sound card works great, still cant get onboard sound to work. "downgrade" to XP succesfull though, just need onboard sound and fingerprint reader drivers that work in XP.

I want to revert my toshiba P-105-S9337 to XP Pro. I have already burned the iso image with much assistance from these forums.  I would like to know if I can use an Audigy notebook soundcard in the pcmcia slot for a sound solution.

ok, i will, i actualy have not received my p-105-s9337 yet, but I am very interesting in installing xp pro on it asap. Should have it day after tomorrow, then will post again.

thanks for the response, do you or anyone else have any more info on why it would work or not? I would hate to spend the money and then find out it did not work.

After doing much reading and checking around the web, it seems that there is still no definite solution to the sound driver problem.(when reverting to xp) How about this? I didn't see any mention of it. Would it be possible to just use an add-on sound card made for laptops like the ones made by creative? Then you could just use that instead of the on board sound. I know this is not a free fix, but, would it work?
