Hi mr_smartepants,

Still no luck ... error in text mode: The file lsi_sasd.SY_ could not be found.

Hi mr_smartepants,

Sorry dude, I never got an email that there was an update on my post...

I have just downloaded the driver pack; as I have a new laptop I need to re-set up UBCD4Win again on my laptop, so I'll get back to you in a day or two.

Thanks muchly for the ongoing assistance.

Hi mr_smartepants,

Bad news... it still isn't working with the SAS card on the T110. I have used version 11.07...

I was going to try and integrate the drivers from the Dell web site into the UBCD4WIN but it's a little confusing.

Any more ideas?

nevermind... that was a dumb question lol

Sorry guys, I've just extracted the 7zip file.. but noticed there is no slipstream... whats the best way to get these drivers on the build?

Hi mr_smartepants,

Finally got to replying! Thanks alot, I will download the beta and see how it goes for me. I'll try to get back to you by Monday.

Cheers!

Hi guys, Hardware IDs are:

*T110

I am using a Windows XP ISO for the files on UBCD4WIN Builder 3.6 (latest version as of mid-may) - it was suggested by a workmate that I try and build it with a Windows Server 2003 ISO but I'm not sure that's going to make a difference.

No previous version of the driver pack seems to work on these servers.

Hi All,

I recently downloaded and imported the latest version of the Mass Storage driver packs for the UBCD4WIN as it wouldn't boot up (BSOD) on the Dell PowerEdge T105 and T110 model servers.

Now that the drivers are there, it no longer blue screens, but I now have another issue.

You see, everything works great on the T105. I can see the RAID drive when booting from the UBCD4WIN CD, and Ghost works wonderfully with it.

But this is not the same with the T110. The T110 will boot, but it still will not show any drives.

Both model servers we get in use the Dell SAS 6 model SATA/SAS RAID Card, which is based on the LSI chipset.

The ONLY difference I can find between the 2 cards is the BIOS and firmware versions;

T105 - Dell SAS6 Firmware 29/09/2007, BIOS v6.14.10.00
T110 - Dell SAS6 Firmware 06/08/2008, BIOS v6.22.03.00

So, my question is should I get the latest Dell driver for the SAS6 on the T110? If not what could be the issue, and if so how do I integrate it in to the CD - I've seen some posts on how to do it but find them a little confusing.

Thanks!
