New Toshiba P105-S6227
Whoo Hooo! I finally have sound in XP! (...no thanks to Toshiba)
(1) Installed the "Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture" from post #10.
(2) Forced the install of the audio driver from post #10. *** However, I didn't appear to have sound at this point ***
(3) Forced the update of the XP Conexant sound driver for the P100-ST9742 from Toshiba's web site. http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/content … 06203a.exe
I haven't messed with the "Modem Device on High Definition Audio Bus" yet.
...Now if I can only get ACPI to work in SUSE 10.2
