again after long time of dis-appear , i get this error with the latest driverpacks. and funny, i always do the same installation with the dp-base, nothing special , no special addons or whatever..

i create dp-included xp's always from 2 sources . xp_pro_sp2_OEM , and some xp_pro_sp2_VLK cd , both original retail cd's , no download stuff or whatever.

OEM and VLK worked with all driverpacks for long time, and after updatting the driverpacks last week and building some OEM iso it again give me this hd aud.bus sys error while winxp installing. tested on some toshiba s4 notebook and some other system.

i then put back my old build xp_pro_sp2_VLK iso and there it worked.. (with the old driverpacks). for better understanding i list here the driverpacks i use atm in the OEM where i get the errors:

bin
ATICCP.ins
DPC708.7z
DPCP7041.7z
DPGA706.7z
DPGB705.7z
DPGC704.7z
DPL708.7z
DPM708.7z
DPSA7081.7z
DPSB7071.7z
DPW706.7z

and here are the packs i used in the VLK where it worked...:

bin
ATICCP.ins
DPC706.7z
DPCP7041.7z
DPGA706.7z
DPGB705.7z
DPGC704.7z
DPL7062.7z
DPM7072.7z
DPSA7072.7z
DPSB7071.7z
DPW706.7z

and ideas? i dont think its useful to create some VLK one with the latest driverpacks. i think i get the same error then too...

the only thing i added to the OEM variant is some extra directory on the .iso , thats the only thing.. but this cant be the error or?

same problem here. with firefox... oh no...! wink

hi

i got some plain old asus motherboard with this "promise fasttrack 100 lite" raid ide controller . this controller is attached to my system-hdd .  to install winxp proper i used F6 drivers on floppy normally . now in 2007 i use those fine driverpacks slipmate variant of xp and works normally very well for me .

in this case i experienced the problem, that i boot with a fresh driver-included (newest versions of this site here) winxp_retail cd , but the hdd isnt recoqnized . so i thought "ok , lets use the driverpacks-net winxp again, AND use the f6 driver from floppy whcih i normally use) . but then windows says (in the dos mode installation) "hey, your driver on floppy is "old".. i have already one inside (one of the massstorage pack???) ", which one you want to use. i then tell that i want the floppy one but then the hdd isnt reqognized .

so , the question is : if you use driverpacks-slipmate cd's , AND f6-drivers <- does this combination work? or better not to use?

funny aint ? . now i just used some blank winxp_cd without any drivers slipmated, and i use f6-method and voila it shows me my hdd attached to the promise fasstrak lite 100 controller.

so i think there's something wrong and perhaps its the fact that there were 2 diffrent kinds of promise controllers. the normal fassttrak 100 and the fasttrak100lite <- which was mostly build into year2002 motherboards of asus and other brands.

another idea would be to include my own driver again into the mass-storage pack "or" include manually by editing again those .inf files after slipmated all driverpacks.

any ideas how to proper solve?

will there be some complete pack , which gets official released? i think it would be nice if smart array drivers are included .. and those scsi ones too.

i installed with success yesterday some xp_corp with a smartarray 6400 controller on a hp proliant ML370G4 server just for fun . i requested some adding to massstorage pack in this thread today :

http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=1487

i just did F6 and copied the .exe included files on a disk , it worked proper and i get to choose my raid controller in the F6 method while instlaliing winxp_corp.

ah fine.. a similar post i did some mins ago , i told to include drivers for smart_array 5x , 6x controllers. hp says win2000/2003 compatible but it worked proper for me on xp_corp or xp_oem on a HP proliant server ML370 G4 wink

hehe...

i testinstalled a nice driver-included xp_corp with the recent 7.04 stuff of driverpacks , but i saw that on some hp server with a HP smart array controller 6400 (also knows 5x or 6x) the hdds werent supported.. i did F6 disk option and included via disk , then it worked..

would be nice if you would include in further updates this pack:

cp007096.exe // known as : HP ProLiant Smart Array 5x and 6x Controller Driver for Windows 2000/Windows Server 2003
version 5.74.0.32   (13 Dec 06)

and downloadable here:

http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files … 26032.html

while i tested this i can say that it works proper for winXP_corp or _oem  , with SP2 . so why not include... HP says works only with win2000or2003 , but xp works wink

is it ok to post missing drivers in this sub-forum?

same problem here, wanted to update and 7016 just quitted unexpected, deleted the old 7015 .exe and just exited.. told me something like "unknown, illegal win32 application"...
