I slipstreamed the newest driver packs (including Mass Storage textmode) using method 2.  Installing on an ASUS A8N-VM CSM with nForce 430 chipset with two 80GB SATA HDD's in a RAID 1, the Windows install didn't recoginize the RAID controller.  So, I had to install using F6.  So I can confirm that something is wrong with the textmode, and nForce raid...

Here is some interesting reading from nVidia's website on installing the RAID drivers from a floppy using the good ole F6 method :-)

When OS reads the floppy it will show the following:
    NVIDIA RAID CLASS DRIVER (required)
    NVIDIA nForce storage Controller (required)

Both of thes MUST be installed if RAID is enabled on the installation port.

Maybe this has somethig to do with the problem...  Dunno, I've been sliptreaming XP CD's for a few years, but just started using DriverPacks.
