Hold onto your old versions, JIK.

Edit: ALWAYS hold on to your old versions, Just In Case! roll

Ra, apparently many of the people are the same too.  http://techreport.com/discussions.x/16065
Conexant acquired the PC audio codec division of ADI, now Conexant manufactures codecs under license from ADI.
http://reseller.tmcnet.com/topics/wideb … evices.htm
This division may already have been acquired by another "corporate entity". (i love that moniker - cue the x-files theme song)

The only way to avoid a lack of drivers when, inevitably, companies change hands, is for a dedicated third-party team to obtain, archive, catalog, & test the latest drivers from OEM sources, & keep abreast of corporate acquisitions. (nothing to do with Spanish Inquisition, i swear!)  roll  Oh yeah, that third-party is DriverPacks.net!

I have noted that the majority of acquisitions in the chipmaking industry seem to happen around a collapse in money markets.  This is only my personal opinion, based on past acquisitions, & gut-instinct.  Acquisitions seem to be increasing this year.

My stockbroker used to work for Dr. Evil.  His fiscal advice is as follows, "I love gold!" lol

Forgive me, i'm not familliar with this specific piece of HW.  I have some basic questions that may assist others to help you (if possible).
What specific OS are you using?
Are you using latest firmware vHPGC? (if applicable - *WARNING* incorrect firmware updates can 'brick' your HW)
Are there are no drives attached?
What is the specific SUBSYS ID? (3245103C)?  There is at least 6 other devices with that ven&dev ID.
Have you tried the DP_MassStorage_1101 DriverVer=02/22/2010,6.20.0.32 (D\M\C4\hpcissx2.inf)?

XP has the driver(s) built-in (netirsir.inf & msports.inf) for both ACPI/PNP0510 & *PNP0511.
netirsir.inf is not included with Win7_x86.
Driver v6.0.6001.18000 (longhorn_rtm.080118-1840) is available through WindowsUpdateCatalog here: http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/ … ?q=PNP0510  cool

Add to DP_Chipset?

Generic.DevDesc        = "Built-in Infrared Device"
*PNP0510.DevDesc    = "Built-in Infrared Device"
*PNP0511.DevDesc    = "Built-in Infrared Device"
*IBM0002.DeviceDesc = "IBM Thinkpad Infrared Device"
*IBM0034.DeviceDesc = "IBM Thinkpad Infrared Device"
*IBM0020.DeviceDesc = "Infrared connector on the King ISA Plug and Play PCMCIA Controller"
HWPDEAD.DeviceDesc  = "HP Infrared Communication Port"
ACTiSYS_200L.DevDesc= "ACTiSYS IR-200L Serial Infrared Device"
ACTiSYS_220L.DevDesc= "ACTiSYS IR-220L Serial Infrared Device"
ACTiSYS  220LPlus.DevDesc= "ACTiSYS IR-220L+ Serial Infrared Device"
AMP.DevDesc         = "AMP PHASIR Serial Infrared Device"
ESI_9680.DevDesc    = "ESI-9680 JetEye Serial Infrared Device"
Parallax.DevDesc    = "Parallax PRA9500A Serial Infrared Device"
Tekram.DevDesc      = "Tekram IRMate-210 Serial Infrared Device"
Puma.DevDesc        = "Puma Serial Infrared Device"
Temic.DevDesc       = "Vishay Telefunken TOIM3232 Serial Infrared Device"
Girbil.DevDesc       = "Greenwich Instruments GIrBIL Serial Infrared Device"
NullModem.DevDesc   = "Serial Cable using IrDA Protocol"

Would adding ANY infrared device drivers with, say the Chipset pack, & subsequently integrating in a Win7 disc, force Win7 to install the infrared service as well?
  If so, would this not have an effect upon system latency (windows searching for IR devices)?

If any of those conditions are true, would the IR (SIR, FIR, CIR, etc) drivers better belong with the 'Miscellaneous' pack (to preserve mainstream system latency)?  hmm

There is a new driver available for ITE CIR devices v5.1.0000.7 here:  ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp53001-53500/sp53008.exe  cool

It supports more hardware than the one included in DP_Chipset v11.04.
It is intended for Win7, however; you might find that works for XP.

  Any testers to confirm?

unknown IRDA device? http://img.lanparty.tw/Upload/FAQ/CM/en … rDA_en.htm

SIR-based?  info here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library … 85%29.aspx

indicates *PNP510 & *PNP511.  Maybe WindowsUpdateCatalog has drivers if the mobo mfg doesn't.

Alas, i was not able to find an OEM D/L link for NEC-Renesas USB3, however; station-drivers has the latest  http://www.station-drivers.com/page/nec.htm

Newer drivers (v3.1.3) are available for the RT2500USB series on Vista-7 (x86 & x64) from Windows Update Catalog.
http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/ … x?q=rt2500  cool

Once again, these drivers (except for the xp driver) remain untested.  For vista-7 you would likely need to completely remove any old drivers (including files) because the advanced tab options are different.
http://www.mediafire.com/file/un3pad6jb … WiFiUSB.7z  big_smile
I have included the info files "rtNWusb.inf", "netr70NW.inf" & "netrNW64.inf" to extend support to the "Nintendo WiFi USB Adaptor".  All other info files remain untouched to retain WHQL status.  Unlike the vista driver, the windows 7 driver has support for Virtual WiFi.  The Ralink utility is included, you might remove all but the basics for DP (if acceptable).

NICE!  I hate those Ralink installers!

Yes, indeed, i concur.  Try a trial of installshield (from macrovision - the guys that brought you DVD player copy-protection, that wouldn't play on projection TVs, or through a VCR, nor play a retail VHS tape on a PC mad)?

Here's the uncorked drivers for RT6x series devices(win-all) including the utility installer (you might remove this for DP):
  http://www.mediafire.com/file/6nr5us13z … inksys.rar  big_smile
This is as of yet, untested.  Also note that the Ovislink & Linksys drivers need to be manually updated from either of the two files listed as follows.

I have added two info files in the W7 folder (netr6x.inf & netr6x64.inf) to address missing HWID's & problems listed below.  I have not touched the original .inf's to preserve WHQL sig's for unaffected HW.  Unlike the vista driver, the windows 7 driver has support for Virtual WiFi.  cool

The [OS61_RTWLAN_C4.ndi.NT.Services], & [OS61_Linksys.ndi.NT.Services] sections have glaring errors.  They have substituted "Needs=VWiFiBus.Services" with "Needs=VWiFiBus.PnPFilterRegistration".  I tried sending MS an email, yet my email client wouldn't allow it.  hmm

These errors affect:   Ovislink_2561.DeviceDesc    = "Airlive WT-2000PCI" & Linksys_0301_0055.DeviceDesc= "Linksys Wireless-G PCI Adapter"
