I read that reference URL . However I'm still puzzled as to exactly how to use "devcon.exe"
I have d/l this file and , when clicked , it invites me to expand it which , when I do so , says it has expanded into 3 files. None of these files as far as I can see are executable files .
If I attempt to follow one of the many examples given , in this case the example "devcon find * " which is supposed to find all devices on my PC ( I think? ) , when I enter the phrase "devcon find *" in a command prompt I get the reply :-
"devcon" is not recognised as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file"
Obvously I have either failed to instal "devcon.exe" correctly or I'm not following the procedure required to use it.
For information , what I wish to achieve with the use of devcon is remove over 300 MS 6to4 Network Adapters which have mysteriously installed themselves in Device Manager in the "Hidden" section of Network Adapters as a manual removal would take some considerable time.
I am not even certain that I have posted this question in the correct Forum. If that is the case , then I apologise for wasting your time and please ignore this post.
