I don't think that's the issue - it doesn't recognize the 3TB drive either a boot, or if I plug it in once win xp has booted. The usb flash drive works fine in either usb 2.0 or usb 3.0 ports.

I am starting to think that it might be a size limitation. Drives above 2TB aren't natively supported on winxp - there needs to be a 512e mode that the drive supports apparently. I will try a brand new 2TB drive and report back.

I have downloaded and updated the latest mass store, chipset, etc. driverpack and have built a ubcd win ubcdwin v. 360.

Unfortunately my WD 3TB USB 3.0 external drive is not recognized when I plug it into either a usb 3.0 express card adapter, or a built in usb 2.0 drive.

The usb 3.0 ports are working because if I plug a usb 2.0 flash drive it, it is recognized.

Do I need a special driver?

The drive shows up under windows 7 as "WD My Book 1170 USB Device"

Here are the device ids:

USBSTOR\DiskWD______My_Book_1170____1042
USBSTOR\DiskWD______My_Book_1170____
USBSTOR\DiskWD______
USBSTOR\WD______My_Book_1170____1

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks for replying, so then shouldn't it have autodetected it? I checked the subdir you indicated, and the .inf in that folder doesn't have an exact signature that matches Ven_14e4_dev_1646_sub_01b31028

So, how can I modify it and then rebuild the ubcd4win iso?

Hello. I ran into this issue today, using DP_LAN_wnt5_x86-32_1205.7z

When I take a look at all the inf files, I can't any reference to Ven_14e4_dev_1646_sub_01b31028

which if the device code for the dell broadcom extreme II card.

I don't quite understand how to explicitly add one driver.

I downloaded the RIS_Drivers, which contain b06nd.inf and b06nd51x.sys.

How can I add that driver?

The other b0 files in the .7z also contain a .cat file, which I don't have.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I am trying to build a BartPE that will work on an HP MS218 - it has an AMD SATA controller that the BartPE DVD BSODs during startup if the BIOS is set to AHCI mode.

I would like to try the latest nightly driver pack, but I don't know how to get UBCD4Win to use the updated one.

Any help would be appreciated.
