the iso is working on a Real Machine smile
all the hardware has been identified smile

added MS Office and other important softwares in it.

mentioned tweak worked very fine, after ADDing and as well as UPDATE all previous drivers, EVEN 2nd time around . so, even if, some new person, have the similar problem, should be able to figure out what needs to be done, if they read this thread/page, as i've tried to write in details . worked for my case at least .

wish there were some thorough guide to Add/Upgrade DriverPacks at least manually, even 2nd time or any time ... for multiple reasons, like, as many cannot keep all the stages of their own previous disc(s) modifications what they have done in their life, in their same computer, or with them, all the time, or those who don't want to spend time on modifying what was already done once, and do those again & again.

@ overflow / jeff ... thanks, nothing but good wishes for you, your projects.

and also, are you thinking that , SysBldr CD was used to make the CD that is having all these problems ? and what we talking in my 1st post ?
have you read my post ? i MENTIONED, the installation that is having problem was made from a XP-SP2-Retail CD.

in a later post/comment i told mr_smartepants that i have an OEM SysBldr XP and i will make ANOTHER installation out of it.

these are two different thing.

the way you guys talk , im very disappointed , you think of worst cases

Had to fight with Fry's to get that CD, for de-grading a Compaq machine with Vista to install XP in it .  Vista was giving too much trouble, many important & essential work related software were not working, XP was the only choice.
this type of cd is very normal.
its not a cd with SLP keys.
you thought of a cd with SLP keys ? neh.

Overflow ... many many thanks for the discouragement wink

most likely the DP packs those i've integrated, did not have VMWare display drivers in it, so VMWare SVGA display adapter wasnt gettin detected inside VMWare VM.

so now installing on a real machine.

SysBldr-XP-CD have hologram seal on it . it was sealed in a yellow envelop.

IT CAME FROM MICROSOFT TO FRY'S.

i have even seen the postal details of it.

i was vey happy with it, as it reduced the time of installing those separately.
made many spin-off from that too.
i took pic with my phone, can upload or send as attachment to u, if u want to, but not public post.

SysBldr XP CD doesn't have any winnt.sif ! but has txtsetup.sif & dosnet.sif . it doesnt have any references to nLite or Driverpacks, i think MS manually upgraded this . but 1 thing i noticed though, in txtsetup.sif structure that, many sections often have few emty lines in it ! ... just like what i've seen in the txtsetup.sif that was modified by the DPBase . nLite modification 1 stage before the DP integration, didnt place empty lines in the same sections.

as you elaborately & mr_smartepants adviced ... i have already started to work on building a new installation from that SysBldr-XP-CD . many thanks again, for all the pointers, to both of you, and your helpful articles .
and above all ... for being patient with me.

@ mr_smartepants ... if all effort fails into adding/upgrading to latest DP integration, even then this iso will be kept in its current condition, even in its current form its still very useful . last year i bought OEM system builder XP disc its pre-integrated with SP3, WMP11, DirectX 9.0c from Fry's. what MS uses to integrate all those ? i've already made further spin-off(s), from that, with various addition from here & there . planning to use the original disc and your OEMSCAN on it & migrate further settings from this disc, to create another xp installation.

@ Overflow ... i've read it and also understand, there is very very good reason(s) for it.
BUT i'm very very curious to try other ways . if all fails, only then one should try from beginning.
with your help it would have been possible.
and with such technique in hand, then we woudn't need to start all over again from the beginning, those who are willing to do this manually at least, until another DPBase arrives to do that automatically.

Future DPBase version will be made to work with an installation files at any stage ? so that DriverPacks can be integrated, upgraded or undo ?

setup does not go through loop of restart anymore this time.

no more warning for "Normaliz.dll" not found smile

but, inside vmware vm, Video/Display Adapter is not detected ! sad

DriverPacks dont have driver for PCI \ VEN 15AD DEV 0405 ?

after 1st reboot, DriverPacks showed progress bar & decompressed all the drivers from the 7z files, and after 2nd reboot, DpFinisher also ran fine !

inside the log file ...
2010-03-26 21:55:34 : <SLIP> Updated \I386\dosnet.inf and \I386\txtsetup.sif to support DP MassStorage text mode drivers.

this indicating what updates or changes ?

looked at both txtsetup.sif & dosnet.inf , both files in Before Modification (B-M) I386 & After Modification (A-M) I386 folder , side by side , line by line :
entries were re-sorted and in wrong area probably, in A-M \ I386 folder files.

thats why xp setup process is not working properly.

Question : in my stage 5 iso, it only have an older 'Mass Storage Drivers Pack', which was added back at stage 2 , only have the iso for that stage . how can those drivers (Mass Storage Drivers) be manually dis-integrated / undo from there ? or, how can i manually upgrade, to use the last Mass Storage driver pack ?

thanks.

EDIT :

file's content modified by the DPBase were txtsetup.sif , winnt.sif , presetup.cmd , dosnet.inf , 'setup.ex_'

5 new files are 'setup.org' , 'setuporg.exe' , siside.org , winnt.org , presetup.cmd in A-M \ I386 folder.
and the drivers in OEM folder.
3 files were removed from B-M \ I386 folder : symc810.sys , symc8xx.sys , viaide.sys
so file count wise, 2 files are less, in the B-M \ I386 folder.

copied symc810.sys , symc8xx.sys , viaide.sys from B-M \ I386, to A-M \ I386.

now we will transfer the changes made by DpBase on A-M \ I386 \ dosnet.inf, txtsetup.sif, winnt.sif
inside the B-M \ I386 folder's similar file :

noticed another thing , now its :

B-M \ I386  	Size.......	|	A-M \ I386 	Size.......
setup.ex_ 	11,982 Bytes	|	setup.ex_ 	13,622 Bytes
				|	setup.org 	11,982 Bytes
				|	setuporg.exe 	23,040 Bytes

... so, in A-M \ I386 folder, made copy of setup.org as setup1.ex_ (11,982 Bytes) , expanded setup1.ex_ into setup1.exe (23,040 Bytes) , made copy of setup1.exe as setuporg.exe (23,040 Bytes) . then made copy of setup.ex_ as setup2.ex_ (13,622 Bytes) , expanded setup2.ex_ to setup2.exe (28,672 Bytes) .
i did this to try with different combination of setup.exe, to find which 'setup' will work correctly, and found out, this config to be working fine, no change was necessary for 'setup...' file renaming or copying.

renamed A-M \ I386 \ txtsetup.sif as txtsetup_dp.sif & copied B-M \ I386 \ txtsetup.sif into A-M \ I386.

renamed A-M \ I386 \ dosnet.inf as dosnet_dp.inf & copied B-M \ I386 \ dosnet.inf into A-M \ I386.

the section [SCSI.load] in txtsetup_dp.sif have much more drivers/entries ( 141 lines ) than the txtsetup.sif ( 32 lines ) . so copy-paste all the lines under this section from the txtsetup_dp.sif into inside the txtsetup.sif's same section.

the section [SCSI] in txtsetup_dp.sif have much more drivers/entries ( 147 lines ) than the txtsetup.sif ( 44 lines ) . so copy-paste all the lines under this section from the txtsetup_dp.sif into inside the txtsetup.sif's same section.

the section [HardwareIdsDatabase] in txtsetup_dp.sif have much more drivers/entries ( 1825 lines ) than the txtsetup.sif ( 336 lines ) . so copy-paste all the lines under this section from the txtsetup_dp.sif into inside the txtsetup.sif's same section.

the section [BusExtenders.Load] in txtsetup_dp.sif have much more drivers/entries ( 21 lines ) than the txtsetup.sif ( 15 lines ) . so copy-paste all the lines under this section from the txtsetup_dp.sif into inside the txtsetup.sif's same section.

if below section don't exist in txtsetup.sif, then add it :
[files.viaide]
viaide.sys,4
pciidex.sys,4

in txtsetup_dp.sif, search for this word "[SourceDisksFiles.ia64]", without any quote, comma symbols, or, search for "setupORG.exe=" without any quot symbols, or, search for below word inside the codebox :

mediactr.cab      = 3,,,,,,_x,,3,3

and then select all the lines in between this line "[SourceDisksFiles.ia64]" and this line "mediactr.cab      = 3,,,,,,_x,,3,3".
In my case there were 126 lines ( without empty lines ) , and last two lines should be :
setupORG.exe= 1,,,,,,,2,0,0
presetup.cmd= 1,,,,,,,2,0,0

previous 126 lines were under the [SourceDisksFiles] section.

search for the top/1st line of word(s) from below codeboxes to locate them quickly.

if below both 2 lines ( spacially the bottom line ) inside the below codebox, if does not exist inside the txtsetup.sif, under the [SourceDisksFiles] section, then add it :

adptsf50.sys = 1,,,,,,,,3,3,,1,4
adpu160m.sys = 1,,,,,,4_,4,1,,,1,4

if these 3 lines ( spacially the bottom 2 lines ) inside the below codebox, if does not exist inside the txtsetup.sif, under the [SourceDisksFiles] section, then add it :

d3dxof.dll   = 1,,,,,,,2,0,0
dac2w2k.sys = 1,,,,,,4_,4,1,,,1,4
dac960nt.sys = 1,,,,,,4_,4,1,,,1,4

if these 2 lines ( spacially the bottom line ) inside the below codebox, if does not exist inside the txtsetup.sif, under the [SourceDisksFiles] section, then add it :

dpt8.gpd     = 1,,,,,,,,3,3
dpti2o.sys = 1,,,,,,4_,4,1,,,1,4

if these 2 lines ( spacially the bottom line ) inside the below codebox, if does not exist inside the txtsetup.sif, under the [SourceDisksFiles] section, then add it :

mqutil.dll      = 100,,,,,,,2,0,0
mraid35x.sys = 1,,,,,,4_,4,1,,,1,4

if these 2 lines ( spacially the bottom line ) inside the below codebox, if does not exist inside the txtsetup.sif, under the [SourceDisksFiles] section, then add it :

ql10wnt.sys  = 1,,,,,,4_,4,1,,,1,4
ql12160.sys  = 1,,,,,,4_,4,1,,,1,4

if these 3 lines ( spacially the bottom 2 lines ) inside the below codebox, if does not exist inside the txtsetup.sif, under the [SourceDisksFiles] section, then add it :

symbolf.fon  = 1,,,,,,,22,0
symc810.sys  = 1,,,,,,4_,4,1,,,1,4
symc8xx.sys  = 1,,,,,,4_,4,1,,,1,4

if these 2 lines ( spacially the bottom line ) inside the below codebox, if does not exist inside the txtsetup.sif, under the [SourceDisksFiles] section, then add it :

vgx.inf      = 1,,,,,,,20,0,0
viaide.sys = 100,,,,,,3_,4,1,,,1,4

now i will make another iso and try again.

the section [ForceCopyDriverCabFiles] in dosnet_dp.inf have much more drivers/entries ( 47 lines ) than the dosnet.inf ( 36 lines ) . so copy-paste all the lines under this section from the dosnet_dp.inf into inside the dosnet.inf's same section.

if these 5 lines ( spacially the bottom 4 lines ) inside the below codebox, if does not exist inside the dosnet.inf, under the [FloppyFiles.1] section, then add it :

d1,usbccgp.sys
d1,c_1252.nls
d1,c_437.nls
d1,vgaoem.fon
d1,l_intl.nls

if these 2 lines ( spacially the bottom line ) inside the below codebox, if does not exist inside the dosnet.inf, under the [FloppyFiles.3] section, then add it :

d1,spcmdcon.sys
d1,kbdus.dll

if the below codes does not exist then add it above the [Files] inside dosnet.inf :

[OptionalSrcDirs]
svcpack

if below 2 lines does not exist under the [Files] section in dosnet.inf then add it :

d1,presetup.cmd
d1,setupORG.exe

if you are using something other than the 'Notepad' to edit these ( dosnet.inf , txtsetup.sif , winnt.sif ) files , then when you are completely done with all editing, you will must have to open all these files again, in Notepad, and 'Save' again, so these can have correct 'Windows' compatible CR-LF code sequences after & on each line.

hi 'OverFlow' ... many many thanks.

yes i kept backup of almost all stages smile & also installed each iso as well inside vmware vm . i have only the iso of stage 2, and kept all files including Last_Session_x.ini of my stage 3, 4, 5.

found my mistake, what caused this critical error.
i browsed & pointed to the I386 sub-folder . whereas i should have selected the folder 1 level back / parent-folder.
i should have tried more & read more , sorry sad
i was switching from 1 folder to another in DpBase and got confused from those steps.

after selecting the parent folder, it was detected as "OS: Windows XP Professional - Retail SP3" smile

used DPBase to integrate all drivers . then created the final iso.

but now during the setup (before the 1st reboot), it generated 3 errors : clock.avi , msnmsn... , ...msn...  files are missing ! !
in 1 of the previous stage with nLite , i selected to remove the 'MSN explorer', but the iso after that stage, did not give any error for those 3 files and xp installed & worked correctly.

and received this Error message after the 1st reboot of xp setup process : sad

setup.exe - Unable To Locate Component : This application has failed to start because Normaliz.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

then computer reboots, and setup restarts and computer reboots . loop.

modifications the DPBase has done, can be manually fixed by repairing the sif, inf files ? i have the previous stage copies.

if these problems cannot be fixed, then i will start again from stage 3, 4 or 5, and try few more times, then i will have no choice but to follow your instruction to start from the very beginning.

Hi,
using ur last driverpack base v8.12.5 with all latest DriverPacks.

(1) a XP SP2 Prof Retail was modified to turn into an OEM . (2) then SP3 was slipstreamed and OEMScan v1.4.1 by Jeremy (xehqter) was added to detect different Oem machines , and (an older version of) "Mass Storage v9.01"s textmode massstorage drivers were added . (3) then WinMediaPlayer 11 was slipstreamed using Booogy's Slipstreamer . (4) then Post-SP3 QFE 1.22 UH hotfix addon, DirectX UH addon, and other addons were added using nLite . (5) then RyanVM Integrator was used to add the MS .Net AiO Pack by jd976 . iso was made after each change to check for its correct installation smile

now im tryin to integrate all DriverPacks into it .

receiving "Critical Error : There are not yet any slipstream modules available for the selected platform!"
and then DpBase quits automatically !   mad

please help to solve this problem.

thanks in advance.

EDIT : added stage # for stages of creating this iso.
