If I get time tomorrow I will try Nlite 1.3RC and close it and then re-open it

What problems were you getting ????

I have a couple of SIS 661 motherboards that also caused a lot of problems.

If you need someone to test this Chipset, please let me know.

Have you tried 1.3RC

I didn't know there was a problem when just using Nlite to create the ISO
Found the ISO creation part handy as it handles the boot sector etc.

I had the same problem about 6 months ago, ran Memtest C86+ and found a problem.

Memory problems CAN CAUSE many of the problems with 2000/XP/2003 and Vista installs.
If I find a problem with installs I run Memtest and usually find a memory problem.

Just thought I would add my 2 cents worth in there.

p.s. Great work, how about giving me a January birthday present - MassStoreage ????
All the rest was a wonderful Christmas present

I downloaded all the 3rd party pack (not VMWare) and integrated into a DVD Bot Disk
The size on the DVD is 1050 meg (1.05 gig) so I do no see a problem.

Bâshrat the Sneaky and the rest of the guys have made an amazing job of the Base and it integrating the KTD.
It does not take as long as it did with the old batch files system.

I have nearly all the HP lasers and almost everything Canon makes, laser and InkJet.

Thank you guys again.

Thank you Bâshrat the Sneaky, Muiz and Debugger for the best Christmas present I could have ever asked for.

You guys work so hard and do amazing things. Believe me, you make a lot of people very happy.

A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

A sad day up to a point. I thought you would drop the project as school is more important as is your private life.
I never could figure out how you could balance the two.

I think I can speak for the majority of the people on this forum, we appreciate all your hard work and the work of the members behind the scenes.

The "open source" thing will hopefully work and things will progress.

Good luck and good fortune to you, time to enjoy life.

BigBrit

A lot of people are having the same problem with Mass Storage and the 7B problem.

it is NOT Bâshrat the Sneaky's fault, it's the crappy drivers the storage companies write.

Help is on the way, so sit down, drink a beer and be patient.

WHOOPS

My only excuse is  --  It was a long hard week and I posted the question on a Friday when half asleep.

Thanks for pointing out the date.

Nice job Twig123.

I would like to ask if you could add the date to the file so we know when it is changed.

Thanks guys, I ordered the Acronis product to try.

I did fix the problem. Put the old IDE back and installed the promise card, it asked for the driver.
Re-cloned to the SATA and it booted OK.

Thanks for your replies, it's good to find people who care about helping others and sharing knowledge.

p.s. How is the SAD project doing, sounds interesting, I would be willing to Beta.

I have a PC that has 1 x IDE HD and I am replacing with 2 x SATA drives via a Promise Fastrak TX2300.
Neither of the drives will be in a RAID array.

I cloned the IDE to one of the SATA drives and rebooted, it gets to a certain point and reboots, think its looking for the Promise driver.

Is their a way to install via the driverpacks or some other way the Promise driver.  Bâshrat the Sneaky has a project planned called SAD, that may be an answer, but I need it now (everybody is in a rush)

I can boot with old IDE and install the driver, problem is, all there is in the driver is the sys files and txtsetup.oem.

If there is a way to install from the txtsetup.oem on the IDE then I could clone it to the new SATA drive and every will work just fine (dream on).

Any help would be most welcome and appreciated.

Thank you, I appreciate what you are saying about the scope of the project and agree with you.

A script would be most welcome as I am a hardware tech and programming it out of my league.

What programming language do you write the driverpacks in ????
(just interested)

Thank you for all your hard work and speedy replies to our problems.

It is useful for adding OTHER things that are not installed by XP as default, i.e. Netbuei and various other Windows apps and utils.
Sometimes XP asks for the CD to be installed, I have mine on my bench, other people would have to search for theirs.
This is NOT related to your DriverPack program. Vendors such as HP, Dell, Gateway etc. always add the I386 folder to prevent user calls.

(9 replies, posted in Feature Requests)

As you have the GUI interface, how about an option to copy the I386 folder to the \root or \windows (user option) and set a registry entry to point to that folder (if files are needed for drivers etc.)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SourcePath

I know it would take longer for the install, some of us don't mind that.

p.s. 6.08.6 took 1 min 02 secs and saw the RyanVM integration. Great update.

I know the Driverpacks are pure magic, but where do you hide the "D" folder in the new version.

It used to be in the root and now it is not there, what magic do I use to find it.

p.s. 608.3 seems to be working really well and so fast. Looking forward to SAD

Amazing piece of coding, you and all the testers should be proud of yourselves.

1:40 to do the whole process.

Sorry. but I may have a bug ???

Used 6.08.1, all driverpacks are the latest.

Install:
Formats
Copies all files
Reboots
Windows splash screen for a few seconds
BSOD

Stop: 0x0000007b (of78e0528), 0xc0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000

Used Nlite 1.01 final to create the ISO (no other mods at all)

NTI 7 to create the DVD.

Edit: No problem with Intel or VIA chipsets.

Will be glad to test any updates for you on this motherboard (GigaByte, also happens on Foxconn
both SIS 661 based, happens on both socket 775 & 478).

Could not find how to attach hwides, did a copy and paste.

You guys have it easy, I live in Bakersfield, California.

Today's high is expected at 43c or 110f, overnight 32c or 90f

We have air conditioning and fans and I still would not attempt doing any DP work.

Good luck to you all, find a nice cool pub and enjoy a few beers.

Error code:
Stop: 0x0000007B (0xF78E0528, 0x00000034,0x00000000,0x00000000)

Also tried new Base 6.05

Used a clean XP Home SP2 file set, integrated RyanVM 2.06, with Nlite 1.08 (did not remove anything). Installed all your driver packs.

Created an ISO image with Nlite.

Burnt the ISO with Nero 7.2.03

Works fine with other chipsets

Happens with ALL the SIS Chipsets I have tried.

Tried:

No Sound
No Chipset
No Mass
No Chipset & Mass
No Chipset & Mass & Graphics
No Chipset & Mass & Graphics & Sound

Good luck with your exams Sneaky, we hope and expect nothing short of "A's"
