@Overflow

Without those modification in MassStorage [V3 Section] installation couldn't find any hard disk but I haven't tried without Driverpacks but I'll test it.

Recent test - only "0571" needs to move in V3 Section.

BTW, I'm using RVM method Nanno Fabio's SP3 Update Packs.

I'll Report back tomorrow....

*edit*

I haven't remove any Windows Drivers except removed(nlite'd 1.4.9) all Games including Pinball - nothing else.

@SamLab

Base on this thread http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=2635 we have the same board, could you test it with the above mentioned modified V3 section.... if it works for you too.

and Thanks in Advance.

I temporarily solved by modifying V3 Section:

[V3]

ms_count=2
ms_1_deviceName="VIA SATA/PATA IDE"
ms_1_tag="VIDEX32"
ms_1_sysFile="VIDEX32.sys"
ms_1_hwids="PCI\VEN_1106&DEV_0571&CC_0101,PCI\VEN_1106&DEV_5372&CC_0101,PCI\VEN_1106&DEV_3149&CC_0101"
ms_1_isBusExtender=false
ms_1_exc_skipIfOS="w2k"
ms_2_deviceName="VIA SATA/PATA IDE"
ms_2_tag="VIDEX32"
ms_2_sysFile="VIDEX32.sys"
ms_2_hwids="PCI\VEN_1106&DEV_3149&CC_0101"
ms_2_isBusExtender=false
ms_2_exc_skipIfOS="wxp,w2k3"

smile

Where can I download Base 8.08?

Tested DP Base 806 and MassStorage 806 [Still downloading Graphics A/B/C, SOUND A/B]

So far on two Asus (via Chipset and Intel), ECS P4M900T-M2, Intel motherboard 845 Chipset and Generic VIA Board with Intel Celeron [PIII Celeron] with 256MB Memory... So far so Good -- No Problem or Error.

Use UA Installation CD with RVM Update Packs + lots of Addon, Booogy WMP 11 sliptreamer and Bâshrat the Sneaky [DP Base 806, DP Lan 806A,
DP MassStorage 806B, DP Chipset 80603, DP Graphics A-710/B-710/C-806A, DP Sound A-711/B-7101] Can't Test
DP WLan cause no Hardware to Test yet.

ok, understandable... Just thought that there were bugs being found and the new build is a fix. smile

I always update my UA Install CD whenever there's a new build, incase, there's an installation needed
I can always test. wink

Test the new DP Base build but couldn't find any difference. roll

There's a new DP base nightly.

Just curious what's has change, new feature or being fix in this build.

Couldn't find changelog or thread regarding the nightly build.

@Jaak

huh? really didn't notice that one, if you haven't said, I might as well try to peek others pack wink.

It's time to tinker. roll Thanks for info cool

Out of topic: how do I PM someone in this forum?

Oh, I see... a bit used to see lots of entry as in mass storage.  wink

@Overflow

Thanks, that's much easier to comprehend. Got it, i'll rememver that.

@cdob

I think I didn't get that... could you further simplify it, Thanks.

@Jaak

Great, new nightly build to experiment... I have the whole day now [it's 9:30AM here] to do experiment. THANKS.

The nightly doesn't seem to work. I tried my experiment method and did work on the ECS Board by moving the HWID to [V3] section. Also tried on the Asus and Generic VIA board also work with my experiment method.

But I'll still try the nightly on My Asus and Asrock by late tonight [GMT +8] since i'm still here with my buddy on University... Report back tomorrow.

I'll do that and also tried to move the "PCI\VEN_1106&DEV_5372&CC_0101" from [V] to [V3].... Report back in an hour, got a slow 4X DVD burner.

Sorry, been away for work.... MassStorage now detects on VIA PT890 Chipset... Now Resolved

But the New Mass Storage doesn`t detect on ECS P4M900T-M2 Motherboard with P4M900 CD NB VT8237S SB Chipset.

Just encounter this Motherboard yesterday while visiting a friend in a University then tested the New Mass Storage 8021.

I'll create a new thread with HWID of this Motherboard.

@JakeLD

I'm also having problem with DP 803 during setup "The file LSI_SAS.sys could not be found." But manage to fix it by deleting entries referring to that file. Now testing DP 8015... - what's change?

@Jaak

No problem now regarding text mode setup on VIA PT890 Chipset but having a problem on the Hot Plug feature in Windows. But tried manual install works fine.

Now I'll try the DP 8015 see how it works...

Can't guarantee test on Server 2000/2003 .. I can make a test installation but it won't help much....

BTW: LSI_SAS.sys could not be found [DP_MassStorage_wnt5_x86-32_803], appears in every test installation I made on Intel base chipset motherboard and VIA.
