I do this, it is quite possible. You need to copy the drivers locally, and ensure the sysprep oempnpdriverspath points to EVERY folder with a .inf file in it. Watch for the limit of 4096 characters here.

Then just delete these files once the mini-setup is complete.

not so hard -
step one, is easy,
step 2 isn't hard either,
step 3 and 4 - i gues youl manage.

> setup 5:
run the setup managers found in deploy.cab, youll get an answer file,
carefully read that file and see what, where and when it doen stuff.
and whicht parts of the origin are avail, (try to setup a time line if you will,

im not shure about syspreped systems though, - but in normal mode there is an option to set the custom driver paths, to c:\d\*\*

Bashrat alrealy made 2 examples

> the one in the answerfile (witch sysprep will most likely support in full,
> and the custom aplcation used in method 2 [small(to regimport the paths)[/small]... - im not shure if that would work....

but since you probably verry mutch know what drivers are used, - i guess it would be smart for you to do the work and make your only driverpacks for vga and sound to save a bit of space and bandwith on your ghost-casting.

First off, hi everyone
secondly, Thanx Basharat and everyone else that may have helped with the driverpacks.
Lastly, what i want to do...

I need to make some sysprep images and integrate the driver packs to install from a network shell when imaging the system and not KTD.

anyone doing/working on this?

what I plan ondoing is:

1. Install XP into a vm.
2. install updates.
3. install apps.
4. Tweak system
5. sysprep drive with the oem version of sysprep
6. image system with acronis true image workstation
7. restore image to systems with true image universal restore (takes care of HAL issues)
8. Install apps that dont image well (AVG is the only one so far)
9. Install apps and tweaks specific to user

Somewhere in that i need to integrate the driver packs and once the drivers the system needs are installed, remove the excess drivers ie: no KTD.

A side note, I'd like to do step 9 automaticly by MAC address, if anyone here has experience with that.
