Just as I was about to detail what I had done and the directory structure created by the extraction tool... I realised it created an empty directory called Driver Packs. Bingo, problem solved. Stupid me

Yes, however, AFTER extracting that, you need to copy the DL'ed DriverPacks (non-extracted!) into the DriverPacks folder...

But isn't running the DPs_BASE_610.exe what extracts the DPs_BASE.exe program?

You must not extract the DriverPacks, but simply copy them to the "DriverPacks" directory!

Hi, noob problem I'm sure but still. Downloaded all the driver packs and ran the extraction utility without probs. But when running DP Base, I cant select which driver packs to slipstream. Everythings greyed out.

Now tell me I'm a fool But what's wrong?
