You must slipstream KB883667 to circumvent this. This only happens only for certain Windows XP SP2 installation discs. After you've slipstreamed the aforementioned hotfix, the popup will vanish.

I'm not sure what thread this should go in, so I'm posting it here. If this is not the right place please move it to where it should be.

After slipstreaming all driverpacks into Windows XP Sp2 CD and doing an install on a Dell Optiplex GX620. During the Installing Devices portion of setup, a dialog box pops up to install software for Plug and Play Monitor.

It eventually goes away and setup continues, but to mee it does not seem like this should happen.

It does not happen with a normal (unmodified) install CD that I use when setting up this model Dell and I'm using the same montior.

The installation also gets to a point where it prompts me for the Windows XP SP2 CD and although I have it in the drive (it's a DVD and DVD drive), it keeps prompting for the disc.

Does anyone have some insight as to why this is happening?
