I'm totally at my wits end. I have an eXPerience version of Win2k3 that has Bashrat's driver packs integrated. It includes drivers for SATA storage and RAID on nVidia nForce4. Okay great. These drivers refuse to install on my sytem.

I simply get the error "Hardware could not be installed." for SATA and PATA controllers. The RAID driver installs fine. Because of this, windows installs it's own drivers simply labeled "IDE Device" and try to reinstall the drivers on every boot. I cannot for the life of me determine the issue. I would really like to use this Win2k3 version but the driver pack doesn't seem to be allowing it. I also have a version of WinXP with the same pack that does the exact same thing.

Older versions of XP using older driver packs install flawlessly. So a solution would be 1. what exactly is wrong? or 2. is there a way to remove a driver pack and inregrate a newer / older version onto an existing windows installation? Any help is much appreciated.

- Sarlen
